LEE FOSS [DISCRETE MUSIC, AMP]
Since childhood Lee has been drawn to music with a soulful feel and a distinct uptempo rythm. It was a late 80's/early 90's fascination with new jack swing, hip hop, and R+B that peaked his interest in music and gave him an ear for the soulful that still exists today in his house production and track selection. A long time music collector and part time dj, his interests spread to soul, disco, house and funk. Spring 2006 sees the launch of Discrete Music as a brand/promotion group/label. With a series of loft/warehouse parties and a series of disco based club nights, the future looks bright for the collective and for Lee. You should definitely expect rare 80's missing link disco, shades of Detroit and Chicago roots, and enough electronic funk to shake a stick at!

At home in Toronto, they are better known as Brian Umali and Franklin Medina and together they share a common passion for good times, dancing, DJing, and last-minute gallivants to Montreal's clubbing playgroundMischief and Frankie have been DJing all over the greater Toronto area, although relative newcomers to the scene, they have earned opportunities to step-up and play alongside international acclaimed stars like DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, DJ Heather, JT Donaldson, Justin Long, Dayhota, Phil Weeks, Amir Javasoul, Fred Everything, Joey Youngman, Jacob London and locals Jason Hodges and Gryphon. House music aficionados are taking notice as Mischief & Frankie secure their place in Toronto's underground scene with solid performances in numerous Toronto venues. Mischief & Frankie's 1st promotional mix CD titled '416 in the 514', made available in October 2004, has been received with incredible praise as it celebrates their opportunity to share those funky grooves with friends and fans at Montreal's Juice Nightclub and Stereo and to DJ alongside local favourites Mighty Kat and DJ DAV.
