Really enjoyed this mix and thought it was the best one i've listened to from yourself. Seems like you have taken some thought into the tune selection and structured the mix well. Felt the beatmatching throughout was very good howvever the eqing in parts could of been better, sometimes the bass for example comes in to loud. Another thing i did notice was a couple of the mixes where out of phase, ie mix into Mystery and Adagio For Strings. Really good effort tho and very enjoyable listen!!

Looking forward to hearing what appears to be a mix full of variety. I enjoy seeing mixes that don't push this week's newest tracks, at first glance, I would assume you put much effort into laying this out.

First track, decent instrumentals.........but dear god, these vocals are horrid. LOL, sorry, just not my cup of tea

First mix is very solid, EQing is good and beatmatching is bang on. Phrasing might have been off by a beat? Not sure.. The energy that the previous song, although not too much, seemed to have been lost in the first minute or so of the second track.

Second mix is tight, very tight. Nice contrast in basslines/lowends between these two tracks, great way to build energy during a transition!

Next mix works well, seemed a tad late to come in, but other than that, good mix.

Really starting to enjoy the mix now, will stop concentrating on the technical skills, you seem to be quite solid in that area...

Loving this MIKE track, this must be where the set takes a more tech-trance turn........looking forward to it.

'Voices From The Inside' did a great job of building energy and anticipation for the set to explode, I will have to remember this track as it would fit perfectly as a transition track into tech trance. The Genix track you followed up with is a great tune, but im not too sure if it flows well. Seems to be a little too melodic to follow the MIKE track. Track has decent energy in it, but I feel it doesn't fit into where I thought the set was going.

The mix out of Aluna is fantastic, loved how you kept the vocal-like sound apparent throughout the mix. Great EQing as well!

Great little kill touch at 73:22. This mix HAS LOADS of energy. I am loving this, great work. Let's hope this energy keeps building over the next 7 minutes.

Overall, the set was a very solid set. The first 30 to 40 minutes had me wondering where you were going with the flow. Beatmatching is impeccable throughout and EQing is superb in most cases. You mentioned the style was trance/tech-trance, i thought I would have heard more tech in it, but sadly I did not. I can't fault your tracks, so many obscure and great tracks throughout. However, the overall flow I felt was slightly lacking. You didn't really seem to have an end goal. At times you had me smiling from ear to ear, but that quickly faded.

On the other hand, this lack of flow might be simply because it isn't how I setup my sets. Looking back at the set, you seemed to choose melodic trance and punched in some tech/energetic elements here and there. Great way to kick a crowd into gear. I would have been more satisfied if the last 2-3 songs teared up the energy, but this might not be what you planned to do.

I definitely recommend this set to anyone who wants to hear great trance, great skills, and an interesting flow arrangement

Score: 8/10

Heh! Cheers Dave, it went where i wanted it to anyway. Thanks for checking it out. I'm glad you enjoyed it mate!!

Alefort, thanks for the big mix review lol.

Yeah well as i said already the mix went where I wanted it to. It's not like I had any crowd reactions to go by or anything you know, was just me mixing at home. I've listened back to it and agree with both what you and Dave put. It could have been better in places yeah. Oh well, like Dave put it is a very enjoyable listen all the same

My mixes will be top once I've gotten used to my new set up that I should be getting soon. My current set up is a load of pish lol.

Anyway, glad you both enjoyed my mix. Cheers. Chris
