Unhappy PLEASE, Help Me Decide! Serato or M-Audio

Hey guys I finally saved up the money($600) to buy Final Scratch 2, but now reading and researching I have figured out thats it's not the way to go nowadays. I just saw a forum about M-Audio and the watched the videos, I like the fact that you hook up Ableton to it. But maybe the downside is that it's new, maybe their are some undiscovered problems. Serato scratch live on the other hand i'am not that familiar with, but from what I hear it kicks hard ass. Please someone helpe me make a decision, I need to do a show within the upcoming 2 weeks and I really want to try one of these programs out.

Go for Serato. Solid program easy to install and use. They are constantly addding updates for it too. It is the best piece of euqipment i have purchased, since i used to play vinyl and had 1200's. Ties you in with the digital world. Dont worry about the usb, it is sufficient sor SSL there has not been one time where there was latency.

Serato all the way. On top of alwasy working great, the Serato/Rane customer support is probally the best in the industry. I've been able to call and get parts for a rane product that was over 20 yrs old with out a problem.

Serato. The money you'll save on not buying vinyl in the time from now till the time the M Audio junk is available is more than you'd save waiting for the M Audio junk.

Few questions about SSL.
How simple is it to swap from using the timecoded vinyl over to vinyl?
Providing I have 5 channels on my mixer will I be able to using everything at once? Eg. Playing two vinyls whilst using two stereo outputs from the pc.

You just flip the switch from line to phone and play your record on the same channel.

I thought you said you were using stereo outputs from the computer? If you're doing that then yes you can have two channels dedicated to Serato and two channels dedicated to your computer's two stereo outputs.

Serato itself only has support for two decks. If you want to play a real record you just switch over to phono and play your record.

Yes but the tracks from Serato have to be played in "Internal Mode" as if you have no timecode vinyl being played then you can't control them, but you can always use the onboard pitch control, or even use the timecode vinyl to beatmatch the track then switch it to Internal Mode and then switch that timecoded deck to a real vinyl, walla you can then get 2 mp3s and 2 vinyl playing at the same time, but you either got to be good with your mouse at adjusting the pitch or fast at beatmatching and swapping vinyl to do it the timecoded way.
