Hey guys,

If you had just time to see 1 place in europe..what would be the coolest...dont say ibiza as I can't afford everything there...but I thought either barcelona, prague, london or Paris...I want to be in a place where you can communicate with local people easily (well maybe not in prague since i dont speak their language and i dont know if lots of people speak english).....and nice nightlife....

I think Barcelona is good...but if u guys have other options with reviews, would be nice to help me decide

Berlin is pretty amazing -- great people, accessible language, tons of culture, and a pretty good nightlife as well!

yeah berlin would be pretty cool...is it expensive to stay there in a hostel ...what about pricing for clubs and stuff?

Nah, I was there for two nights, and stayed in a hostel. It was fairly cheap (most of the time I was in Europe I was in Switzerland or Scandinavia, so Berlin was the cheapest city I stayed in). This was World Cup time too, so I imagine you'll be able to find cheaper rates than I did. Berlin was a blast, and I def. wish I could have stayed much longer!

I think I paid about 25 Euro a night for a bed and 5 Euro entrance fee for a club... 'bout 1 Euro/shot after that... aside from the absinthe which ran a little higher

My favourite big cities in Europe, from what I've seen, are London and Rome. I'd say go to Berlin though, as it's more unique than London and has a more accessible language than Rome.

An alternative: Vienna. Beautiful city, accessible language as well (although the dialect is somewhat harder to understand, most of the people speak English to some extent there though). I don't know about its nightlife though, but I remember reading something saying it's quite decent.
