... fucking sucks.

i've been sick so i've been taking lots of vitamins and DayQuil type stuff, and it hurts my throat so bad to choke them down. i never used to have a problem swallowing pills. in fact i used to be able to swallow any pill without water... but now i have to take like 3 gulps of water just to get 1 pill down. gel caps aren't so bad since they're smooth, but uncoated pills are sooo annoying.

any tips? railing vitamin C is not an option.

Put pills in Ziplock bag. Use something heavy or the back of a spoon to crush them. Put crushed pills in applesauce, or PUDDING! Yum!



That's what we do with the old folks who have swallowing problems, hehe.

the worst thing is coatings, u know "the ones to make them go down easier" which actually taste like crap & make you heave. my suggestion is to put about 2 mouthfulls of water in a glass, drop tablet in & knock it back like a shot.

My gran used to help me with that when taking pain killers. But I don't think it's always a good idea to crush pills as the body doesn't absorb them probably. Sometimes it needs to be intact for them to work.

how about no pills .. buy some red vine cook it for about 10 mins let it cool off and drink that yes might get you buzzed an all but it will get that cold off you in no time ! after that just wrap your self in blanket sweat it off over night an in morning your good as new works always
