HappyHappy Sensation White, Love Parade, Dance Vally, Ibiza.. OH MY!

Ok.. I was thinking of Not going to WMC this year but actully going to one of following:

1. Sensation White- Ibiza

2. Love Parade- Ibiza

3. Dance Vally- Ibiza

4. Global Gathering- Ibiza

5. Spending one crazy week In Ibiza.

I am looking for flights now. But I was told that once in Europe they have cheeper fairs then sights like orbitz etl. has...

For those of you have been to any of these events.. What ones do you recomend and why??

Now I have Never ever been overseas and have no idea what are the best places to stay at any of these areas.( I do not mind stayin in some hostal) How much am I looking at for a room per night? Is it like WMC during these events where the prices are jacked up???

Any advice or help would be Great!!

Ibiza Ibiza Ibiza!

i've been three times and can't wait to go back.

i thought about going to Sensation White but since its just 1 night, you need to build a bunch of sightseeing around it (not a bad option). since you are in Amsterdam you might as well spend 2-3 days there checking it out.

i'd do #4 or #5 - a week in Ibiza or maybe 5 days and start/finish with Global Gathering.

1 tip - don't plan to do any regular sightseeing after Ibiza if you go - you'll be exhausted just like after the WMC and the last thing you will want to do is walk around checking out museums and architecture.

The Love Parade is an experience not to be missed (if it happens again). Oh, and the price is great too: 0,00EUR! There's usually a pre-party, and PVD and loads of other great European DJ's would likely be there again...and it's pretty cheap, around 20EUR or so.

Be careful on where you go, and who leads you.

There are a lot of scammers out there, who will lure you to a hostal that have outrageous prices, there are also some thieves out there who look for travelers and tourists.

Ibiza can be expensive. Depends on where you go or where you book a room, you can easily spend a lot of money in a week. Be prepared to see a lot of people, these are gaining more popular as the days go by.

Here is a site link to help you sweetcandygirl.

Word of advice, if your going to Ibiza, save some PTO or something because you don’t just want to stay a week. I recommend staying 3+ weeks if you can. Experience it all while you can. The massages on the beaches were wonderful…

Sensation Dancevalley, and Global Gathering are all cool, just don’t let your friends leave your side to go pee or something, or you will loose them for ever. I have been to both white & black events, and a couple friends drifted off to go to the bathroom, we did not see them until 8 hours later. I don’t remember spending large amounts of money, the hotel stay, room and board bed and breakfast places were really cool.

During our trip to Europe we stopped in places like Belfast and Holland. You’ll find some cool places there and some that you will remember a lifetime.

Ill try to get some more info on some of the places for you sweet, and see if I still have some of the prices I paid back a few years ago. I derno they have probably changed, but youll get an idea of what I paid.

ibiza is the best idea... it can be the cheapest as well... i went there for like 2 months and paid only 700 euros for an apartment split w/ someone else near the west end in san antonio... also if you're there a while u get to know everyone and get in for free everywhere...

alcohol is also very cheap there... you can get completely loaded for less than 10 euros unless you go drinking at clubs which will probably cost you like 10 times that amount (just like anywhere else)... this is why a lot of people there turn to other things which tend to be a lot cheaper than anywhere else i've ever seen

very easy to find accommodation when you get there, i had no hotels or anything booked, i just risked it

i only paid $240 for a one way ticket to amsterdam from boston on expedia.com then i got a flight for like 90 euros to barcelona and then one for like 10 euros from there to ibiza... www.vueling.com is the site where you can get cheap flights in spain (this was the last week of may of this year)

the problem is coming back... i think prices get jacked up in the summer time for flights, i ended up going from ibiza to milan italy for like 130 euros then from milan to brussels for like 60 euros then from there back to boston for like another $600...

i think i spent more on flights getting back than i did on anything else the entire trip

if i was you i'd go for the space opening or closing party... i went to the space opening, best event i've ever been to

To keep track of friends while in Europe, I bought an unlocked GSM triband cellphone before leaving the States and then got a Lebara SIM card in NL. The SIM card was 10EUR and included 7,50EUR in free talk time, so really only 2,50EUR. The best part was that I could text my friends for 12 cents or call them for 35 cents/min. Even better, I could make calls direct from my cellphone back to the states for 12 cents/min (3x cheaper than making a call within Holland, no strings attached, and the quality was better than when I make a call locally in LA!)

Anyway, if you have (or can get) an unlocked phone and can find a good SIM card like this (they're only cheap when used in the country issued, otherwise you'll spend a fortune), I think it's worth it. I lost my Dutch friend 4 times at Sensation White, but we found each other within 5 minutes each time by texting each other! Also good for safety when traveling, most creepy strangers will think you're a local when talking on a cellphone...whenever I picked mine up and started talking, they went the other way. If that doesn't work, then yell Polizei! into the phone or better yet, actually call them!

I think either T-Mobile or Cingular (maybe both?) will unlock your regular cell phone for something like 10 bucks. If you have Sprint, like me, then you're screwed because it's CDMA, not GSM, so you'd have to buy a GSM unlocked phone.

Most European SIM cards expire after 9 mos or a year, but for 2,50EUR, who cares? The Orange SIM card in NL supposedly never expires, so that's one way to get a long-term Dutch phone number that can be used again. Oh, and in NL getting a SIM card is easy as waving 10EUR and walking out the door with it. In Germany, you must show your passport and register your info., including German address (hotel should work) in a database. Any questions, let me know!

Hey, I'm going to be cycle touring through Europe from may 22 - july 28 this summer with my room mate. I'll be hitting up sensation white, love parade, and as many of those other events as I can while over there. It'll be my first time over the Atlantic also, but if you want anybody to help you out, just pm me.

Sensation White, Dance Valley, Global Gathering...

Are there any other massive parties over in Europe?

We need one over here in the States.(other than WMC, and that's not the same scale)
