i know it sounds weird but Ultra Music Festival here in Miami has booked Tiesto and they keep insisting its a rare live performance with a (live) next to his name. check it out for yourself.. www.ultramusicfestival.com

maybe its something he rarely does and im just not aware of it buut i would be interested to find out

my educated guess is that the cirque du soleil will be lighting fires around tiesto while he spins and then a bengali tiger will be lowered like the sword of damocles over his head while p diddy raps and blows his whistle, dressed like a HUGE vinyl record.

it would be easy to skip the first day if it weren't for DD. (for those of you who don't know yet there are apparently two days to ultra this year, a live day and a 'pure classic ultra' with headliners pvd, carl cox, tenaglia, ferry corsten and eric morllio. That's cool but apparently it's still at bicentennial park - bayfront park was much better :/

capacity at bayfront wont allow a crowd upwards of 45,000 by city ordinance

I would rather ask for a Tiesto Radio Show. That doesn#t exist as far as I know...

Well, I remember how they promised that Oakenfold will be live with some orchestra for Ultra 2006, which eventually ended up as a regular 75 minute dj set, 20 minutes of each consisted of sound technicians running all over the stage and some guy trying to replace a mixer. Plus, I have also heard that The Orb didn't do a live set at the Ultra afterparty as promised that same year. So I wouldn't put too much stock in what they say about Tiesto's performance.

Tiesto will announce his transition to rock-stardom and will perform a two-hour solo on electric guitar, after which he will be joined by fellow band members Armin van Buuren on bass, Paul Oakenfold on drums, and Justine Suissa on vocals; they will perform songs from their upcoming collaborative album. It will truly be a groundbreaking artistic event.
