I am a noob with Ableton and have tried looking through the tutorial. I see this thing about pitch adjusting, which is what I believe I am looking for, but I can't figure out how to just change the key of an entire track/clip in Ableton. I would have to guess this must be really easy, I just have no idea how to do it. I would love if I could get a tip in some very simple language. Thanks a lot. Ableton is just ridiculously nice btw, but Im sure you all knew that already.

Not too sure WHY you'd want to do this at risk of the track sounding noticeably horrible, BUT.

If you want to do it simply I suppose with Live 6 you could drop the entire track into SAMPLER or SIMPLER and do it from there!

nah it's much 'simpler' than this hehe,

simply double click the clip that contains the track you want to transpose.

on the bottom panel there will be a little ableton pot (dial) under the track name that says transpose.

adjusting this clockwise or counterclockwise will respectively raise and lower the pitch of the entire clip by one semitone at a time.

there you go.

The problem is that it alters the pitch of the percussion too and that usually is a bad thing. You are better off learning to mix in key.
