**** Detox
Ok, in my whole newfound freedom/singleness...I went out last night with a group of friends.
Needless to say, I'm 20 and it was a Friday night...of course I was hammered.
In a nutshell, we left the party and my friend was driving us home. She proooooobably shouldn't have been driving if you want to get technical, but she was near sober. I am extremely anti-drunk driving, and I felt that she was equipped enough to get us safely home.
So, 4 friends and I drive home. We get pulled over by a cop, she gets a DUI and is taken off...I still haven't talked to her. The rest of us get handcuffed and put in cop cars. I'm riding in the cop car with my friend Val, and she's sitting there complaining about guys to the cop and won't shut the fuck up. He brings us to DETOX, but realizes she's too rowdy when she starts arguing with him. Therefore, I'm by myself at DETOX, and she goes to the drunk tank. Haven't talked to her yet, or my other 2 friends that were in the car.
So the deal with DETOX is that you have to blow a .05 to leave. THIS PLACE IS TWO MOTHERFUCKING BLOCKS AWAY FROM MY APARTMENT!!!! I don't own a car so there's no threat of me driving drunk if they let me go...but noooooo, I had to stay there all night, chugging water to sober up.
Ugh, this country is so flawed. I understand DUI's, but to imprison me for the night when I live so close is retarded. Now they are going to inform my school of my citation, and my uni has a "three strikes you're out" policy.
Fuck the pooooooolice.
Well, the night wasn't a total loss. I made out with my friend that I've been crushing on hardcore for almost two years. Yayyyyy.
