Love Poundin' Sensation Coldplay - Talk (Junkie XL Mix) Appreciation Thread

I think this is one of the best remixes ever made

Seriously, I usually can't stand the voice of Chris Martin anymore, it really annoys me.
By concentrating on few essential vocals and proper editing of them, Junkie managed to make the vocals non-annoying.

Furthermore, the riff he has taken from the original is just catchy as hell and the way he used it is just pure genius.

I really enjoy every second of this remix, it's pure gold. Who else is on this with me?

It's not very good. It's sad to see the dull garble JXL produces now because he used to be my favourite producer ever. Makes me angry.

JunkieXL has been trying to make his sound more crossover'ish in his last album. Notice the natural sounding drums or the frequent guitar riffs.

I quite liked his coldplay remix and some of the tracks from his album (youthful was one of the best) and he still remains without a doubt one of the best producers of our time. Its just that he isnt on the edge anymore, pioneering everything from acid breaks to progressive house, like he used to. . Nowadays he kinda sits comfortably on the more mainstream edges of edm, playing it safe like so many other big-name producers (and dj's too)

I think it has to with inertia. The bigger your name gets, the harder it is to take new directions & stay innovative. Thats why most of the stand-out-innovative tracks come from producers that are relativelly unknown. Anyway thats a whole another topic there..

He's always had those influences on his tracks, ever since day one. He even had Dino Cazares doing guitars on the first album.
