My afternoon walk through the park (WITH THE EPIC BATTLE FULLY TRANSLATED)

Yesterday I took an afternoon walk in the park, it went like this.

Coming out of my house I turned right, and proceeded roughly half a block up the street where I can to an intersection. After carefully looking both ways, and then double checking the direction that I had looked first(because cars can often sneak up on you while you are checking the other way)I crossed the street. This did not yet get me to the park so maybe these are details that aren't important to the story, since I was not technically in the park yet.

Then I did get to the park.Inside I was initially overcome with the feeling that there was a lot of water on the ground. At first I wondered if this was because of a large scale water balloon fight held by neighbourhood roughians, but then decided that it was actually most likely the result of lots of rain and little snow, and the ground not being able to absorb moisture that quickly.

Good thing for me I had packed a pair of big rubber boots in my napsack, so out they came, on they went, and sloshing through the puddles i went. I quickly came to a dead squirrel, it had decomposed slightly so i decided not to pick it up.

I think that was a good decision because later I read that you can get some sort of lung problem from picking up dead squirrels so score one for josh and minus one for the dead squirrel.

End of installment one.

All I care about are the squirrels in your story. Can you please skip to the good parts, Josh?

I went for a walk in the dark before with my mum's dogs to the local field. Thought it would be somewhat festive walkng along with two white/blonde golden retrievers. Stupid decision. Was dragged 200 metres to the field and then pulled through a soggy field full of dog shite...

Wish people in England would pick up dog shit. Effing new pumas on too!

(Back home for hols, BTW)

I had originally not intended to put installment 2 up until tomorrow, but due to the overwhelming demand I will put it up now.
The people say they want more of the park story, and by golly they will get it.

After crossing paths with the dead squirrel I came upon a deserted bathroom complex. I attempted to use the Ace Ventura/James Bond style credit card door opening trick but that didn't work. So I left the bathroom area, defeated and feeling low. Score one for the bathroom minus one for josh.

Feeling low like I was I decided that song was the only thing that could elevate my spirits enough for me to continue on. It was either sing, or not sing and remain low in spirits not going on.

I decided there was no other choice but to sing, but i was then immediately forced to recognize that I had made a mistake by deciding that was my only choice, because I in fact needed to decide which song to sing.

I pulled out my pocket guide entitled "songs to sing for every occasion"

According to the chart on page 173 I should sing either "sugarpie honeybunch" or "Skin a marink".

I obviously went with the latter, and ambled along further down the path...

..skinamarink-e-dink-e-dink, skinamarink-e-do, i loooove you!

End of installment 2

When I bought my "songs to sing for every occasion" pocket book, there was also the "dances to dance along to the songs to sing to every occasion" pocket book, but I hadn't gotten my allowance from my parents yet, so I couldn't afford it.

Saved me from having to waste away to a bitter end near the bathroom in the park.
