Smaller venues.

IMO better to chill out with your buddies while listening to some tunes.

Love those smaller TA events

Smaller venues. Easily. They have the better vibe.

It's actually funny this thread was brought up. Over the weekend I was thinking what it would be like if Toronto's nightlife went in the direction of smaller parties. Imagine the city without places like Guvernment, but in it's place 10 or more places around the city that each offer a unique vibe, and a smaller capacity. It'd be a bit of a problem with big DJ's (seeing as we're all DJ whores in one way or another) but I think it would be really interesting to see a bunch of clubs, each with a loyal following.

Although big venues have those massive crowd with hands in the air moments.

when i first started partying/clubbinb/raving/whatever u want to call it, you could always find me in KH or the Guv. But now being in my 3rd year, i prefer smaller venues (such as the drink or gallery). I think this has gone with my change in music preference going from the big room sound to darker, tribal-electro-house

I find smaller clubs actually have more room than the Guv

Smaller venues are better, in my opinion. They are a lot more intimate than larger venues. And you don't have to walk around for 45 minutes looking for your friends.

FootWork is the perfect sized club.

Oh without a doubt. Some of the best moments of my partying "career" have been in big rooms. I gotta say though that as I get older, I prefer the smaller places.
