more D n' B in Baltimore - 3.30.01
It has been too long since the super simian assassins have
convened...
The time is soon. The wait is over.
- MODERN MONKEE REVISITED -
Featuring the talents of;
J-SMOOTH
(GFS / Sound Gizmo Audio / Argneto / Planet Groove, Philadelphia)
With his unique fushion of Hip-Hop and Drum & Bass, J.Smooth has
become one of the fastest rising DJ/Producers in America. His ability to mesh raw, funky urban beats with the fast paced technological sounds of the future has set him apart. Already established as a skilled DJ all over the nation, his talent in the studio shows that he is more then just the man behind the turntables. His performance in our studio certainly should not be
missed.
LOVEGROVE (Sonic Soul / Sonar, Baltimore)
With his command of house from deep to tribal, Lovegrove has been
treating audiences to the chillest sets in Baltimore for years. Wether you see him spinning at a party or throwing one, you know that he is the life behind it. His last time through the studio was a memorable one, and this evening will be even better.
LONNIE FISHER (Ultraworld Productions / Sonar, Baltimore)
This man knows drum and bass in ways only a veteran can
understand. He has been with, and largely forged, the Baltimore scene over the last decade.
From warehouse parties to massives at the armory, Lonnie has been
providing us with the times and the music that we love.
IVAN MARZ (Sentient Productions, Baltimore)
Ivan's deep house mixes make people move and made us take notice.
You can catch him every Monday night at Shorty's in Baltimore.
SWING KIDD & BISHOP K w/ MC ARMANI (Ill Skillz, Philadelphia)
Their drum 'n' bass exploits are on the rise. These Philly boyz
are known there for good reason, and you'll remember them after they open the evening.
DEREK LOTEK (Lotek, Baltimore)
D&B, ragga and hints of hip-hop will close the evening courtesy of
our friend from the Lotek camp.
