Impressive first 20 minutes from Liverpool.
They're playing exactly like they should against a opponent like Chelsea, they're not allowing anything in defensive aspects and Mourinhos side is struggling to create something offensively.
Robben out injured aswell for Chelsea.
The ball is stuck on the midfield for Chelsea and they can't provide anything offensively. Drogba has had two headers wide of the goal, though it's been on corners and it hasn't even been close.
The first goal is a very nice cross from around 30 m which reaches Crouch, who heads the ball to Dirk Kuyt. The dutch takes the ball and scores very nicely after 4 minutes of play. Carvalho having problems with him all the time, another thing is that Crouch got to be that alone when he headed the ball to Kuyt. Mikel has to come there, or they have to talk with Essien so he'll take out Crouch, though it would've been hard as he's no John Terry in the air while Crouch is a human skyscraper.
Second goal is absolute class from Pennant who shots the ball off the bar and in. The clearance by Essien with the head, though it could've been dangerous if he would've let the ball go further into their defensive zone. But nothing to do for Petr Cech and the Chelsea defence, perhaps Ashley Cole should've marked Pennant more closely so he didn't have the time to shot that perfectly. Small details anyways.
It's interesting to see how Chelsea is struggling with these crosses coming off Liverpools midfield.
Chelsea needs to get a attacker on, Mourinho can't really wait any longer than 10 minutes into the second half. Changes has to be made and I'm predicting John Obi Mikel/Solomon Kalou to be replaced.
