James Alexander & Pete Gawtry - Lost In You [J00F Recordings]
James Alexander & Pete Gawtry - Lost In You Label: J00F Recordings Release date: February
Tracklist:
01. Lost In You (The Digital Blonde remix)
02. Lost In You (Miika Kuisma remix)
03. Lost In You (The Digital Blonde dub)
I first heard J00F play Lost In You in Stockholm in August just before Universal Soul (Digital Blonde remix). J00F mentioned that it was a fresch new remix from Ricky Smith. As usually with some label it takes a damn long before the actual release is out.
Lost In You (this track was previously known as Kidd - Lost In You) comes with a totally ravaging remix from Ricky Smith. In this remix Ricky goes back to his old style from the late 90s such as his remix of John 00 Fleming - Lost In Emotion. It runs in a higher pace and it's not at all as dark as his latest works. In fact it's one of the most melodical work I've heard from the blonde in ages. The vocals works quite well with the track but for those of you (like me) who prefers trance without vocals or big epic breaks head straight for The Digital Blonde dub. It's a bit shorter and doesn't have the long intro but you get to skip the big epic breaks and the vocals.
Miika Kuisma didn't have an easy task. And a clever guy as Miika is he didn't go for the easy job and just threw together a mellow remix but instead went for a deeper progressive remix very unlike his usual work. This will work very well early in proghouse/trance sets. One of the best productions I've heard from Miika for sure.

I really like what The Blonde has done, and the vocals may be shitty, but I still like them together with this great melodic piece of trance.
It's massive!
I can't say I was fond of Miika Kuismas remix though, He's done a lot better stuff, but then again, This track wasn't easy to remix so I'm cool with it.
I've only heard the The Digital Blonde Remix before, but I thought that one was really awesome. I'm also not really keen on vocals myself, but I think they fit in pretty well in here.

Good release indeed, already knew the Kuisma version
Check the 2006 showcase mix of Miika Rebel if you're interested, lots of new cool Kuisma stuff comin' up
I heard JOOF debut the Blonde mix last August at Spundae LA. One of the most mind-blowing sets I've ever heard. My friend and I went crazy when we heard that insane bassline and deep DB melody. What a night to remember....
Kuisma remix is a smooth prog trancer whilst Blonde's remix is a dancefloor destroyer. Both very unique tracks. I really want to hear The Digital Blonde dub. I thought I heard it on a past edition of GTG but can't be certain. Joof can't do any wrong!
High hopes for it - the support & feedback we've received on it already is immense!

Yeah the dub was the first version played on GTG, then the vocal mix a few times after.
