Hey Friends,

I am wondering if anyone on this board has friends, promoters or contacts in Taipei. I am traveling to Hawaii to spin and then on to Taiwan. This is one place I have yet to play in my global travels so I am just fishing around to see what I can find.
I have sorted a few contacts with Luxy but wanted to see if anyone had any other friends or promoters who may do smaller or even underground events. I am sure I can return the favor for djs also when they are in this part of the world.

contacting luxy is probably the first thing u can do...there are only a few clubs in taipei that host dance music events. it's a decent place, but is mainly geared towards hiphop now, unfortunately.

I've been living in Taiwan for about 2 years now.... yes Luxy hosts dance music parties, but alse you should consider MOS taipei (ministry of sound). They are really promoting themselves as a quality dance music venue in Taipei right now. They've had Scott Bond, John Askew, Dave Seaman and Eddie Halliwell in the last couple of months. I know one of the residents DJs, so if you want his contact details, just ask.

Champagne 3 is a more underground venue that plays electronic music, but i don't have any contacts there..
