Got there around 11:20 and the placed was rammed packed.To my delight Stephano was killing it on the decks!!!Benny came on around 12:15 and to me the quality of tunes hit a downward spiral real quick.The tunes he was dropping were way to techy and corny for my liking.After about a half hour his set began to get dirty the way I like it.That lasted all of 25 minutes and he got right back to the corny shit he started out with.All in all Stephano was dope and I would have rather Benny not show up.

pretty much the worst party ive ever been to. i love dragonfly.. but that crowd was horrible. soo disrespectful. scumbag guys grabbing girls left and right, not one person applogizing for knocking someones drink over. girls puking in the middle of the dance floor. the crowd didn't know how to dance.. horrible vibe in general.

benny definately brought out "the top40" crowd and it definately ruined the night. for benny, great first 10mins to his set.. then the rest sucked. we have better local djs with more fresh tracks in toronto easy. my group of friends and i, with a lot of other people seemed to leave around 130am and proceed to the casino where all the flashing lights and card games were much more appealing. hey, at least i walked away from that place with more money than i came with.. i think TiL needs a casino too. lol

I have to admit that I really wanted to see Benny...but now I'm glad that I didn't.

After seeing him at Labour I was really disappointed, so if I had gone last night this would have been his last chance to prove himself...and it sux that he didn't.

Sorry to hear you guys had such a bad time. Dragonfly is by far one of the best places I've been to, but like you say Mark, the top 40 crowd can ruin it all....grr!

The only problem w/ Dragonfly is that it brings a lot of the Americans (no disrespect to Americans). I just feel that they aren't as "friendly" as the the Canadians in the clubs in TO and Benny B, like already said, probably brought a lot of American top 40 partyers...

Hmm I haven't really noticed much of the American crowd really...but it's not the Americans. I'm sure that if you compare a true American house fan to a true Canadian house fan it'll pretty much be the same thing. Eveybody has their assholes. The problem is that Benny is fucking commercial too. Example compare Tiesto's crowd now to his crow in 2002.................top 40 bullshit.

agreed. I have partied with lots of Americans and they were cool shit. Face it Benny B sucks the big one and the crowd he attracts is even worse. I expect someone to grind at one of his shows because thats the mentality of his listeners, top 40 garbage.

Benny is not a bad dj. He is one of the few who first got me into this scene. He was the first dj I saw. He is a very talented man but he has his downside. If you were to ever hear Benny outside of America you would see that this man is full of talent. His sound is easily recognized all over the world. I have to give him props for what he has done.

Why is it that when the big djs come down here....most of the time they give us such shitty sets...then two days later you see him in Europe and he's kiiling the place. fuck that pisses me off so much.
I saw Benny in Belgrade (Serbia) and he blew me away...but overall I have to say that I will never go see him again!

stephano wasn't bad and benny was allright. The first part of his set was better, then got too techy as said earlier.

The place was rammed like a friday night in there....and i prefer it when its less crowded on wednesdays.

The crowd sure was weird, not many pple totally busting a move; bennasi did bring out the top40 crowd and thugs lol

all in all, this was the wednesday party i least enjoyed at dragonfly. I thought id give a chance to bennasi...but wont happen again.

Every track benny plays is the same......
