Talking 2 girls: Trance producer and singer

Hi everybody

After making some remixes for the digital record label Total Wipes,
here I present a new one (it's not on sale or promoted by any label;
I'm just looking for critics).

It was made to be a remix of a track called Falling , created by the
fantastic Finish singer Valveuni but, finally, it turned into a new
project band called Maria Opale .

This tune is quite relaxed (120 bpm) and, of course, it's singed by
Valveuni. I think her voice is really cool and angelical.

Working together with Valveuni is fantastic cos we both are girls and
see music the same way; at least, this is what I think.

I'll be really interested in reading your opinions, no matter if they
are good or bad.

Many many thanks

Listening from myspace and soundclick

very special track, sounds very 1995ish if it went like in 155bpm instead. the melody is very rave and would fit a dune style-edm.
would like to hear a better bitrate and the full mp3. keep it up

Many many thanks, dj_palm. You're the first person who makes a critic and it's nice! Fantastic way to start!

Many thanks again

Yeah, I kinda agree. "Hey guys, look over here - 2 girls!!" Ehm...We're here for the music, ok? Anyway, to be honest I think that the issue on girl-producers is kinda strange. Can anyone name ONE successful girl-producer? And then I mean in ANY genre. Hmm.. I know only one - Imogen Heap. She's the only girl I know who produces her own tracks, and not only sings in 'em.

There is no reason why girls shouldn't be as successful as the boys. Making music is something that men and women can do just as easy without any of them being superior by nature in any way. So, damn girls, bring some music to the table

@irisdeejay: I'm gonna listen to this track and give it feedback without thinking "she's a female..let's be genlte" Right now I'm not at home - sitting on a laptop. So I will not listen with laptop-crap-speakers. Tomorrow I will listen

Cheers,
Alex Pea

I'm really glad that you liked this tune, Desty Nova; many thanks.

Ok, guys, first of all I think I must make something clear: I'm not promoting "Eh! Boys, I'm a girl, listen to my tunes!"- I don't want to offend anybody but I'm tired of these kind of threads and I swear everytime I read something like this I'm feeling hurt cos I started producing 7 years ago and I had to make much efford to improve my tracks (just like you all).

If I wrote "2 girls" in the tittle of this thread was cos I just want to get critics and cos, as alexpea said, these kind of formations
aren't usual.

Once, an American record company told me: "Hey, girl, why don't you
promote you dress a skirt?"- and I told him, f@ck you, man, I promote
my music.

I think I'm not asking for a miracle. Don't you think?

Sandra Flyn, Suzy Solar are two I can think of...

Also, Jesselyn

And that is just in Trance. If I knew anything about breaks, I would bet there are loads of successful breaks female Producers.

pretty good really...but
only thing that bothers me is that I'd make it faster to like 130 bpm because you use some strong sounds which don't suit the tempo (think of it as trance conventions or whatever) this just doesn't suit my taste for the tempo.

or you can keep the tempo and make it sound a little bit more proggy, the kick drum could be like...I dunno...a bit...weaker...like in Cicada tracks...etc...

anyways you both got talent, keep up, it's nice to see more girls producing

Many many thanks for the nice comments. Yes, BOOsTER, you're totally right: The tempo of this remix is too slow. Jaana recorded her voice at 120 bpm (the tempo of the original mix) so I had to keep it to use the vocals.

Great Track! I found it very chilled, lot's of good arps.

Strange, some chilled sounds (which may naturally lend themselves to slower tracks), but still seems as though it is a little too slow.

Great Track otherwise!

Now I have one thing really clear: Next time I must make a faster remix, hehe.

Tons of hugs!
