Bomb kills 18 on military bus in Iran..not a Typo: thats IRAN!

I wonder if this is only the begining of something more. Either these men that did this cowardly act are going after the Islamic Faith Protectors, since The security forces attacked this time were members of the Revolutionary Guards, Iran's ideological force charged with defending the Islamic regime or drug lords trying to get the Fundies out of their biz.

TEHRAN, Iran (CNN) -- A car bomb ripped through an Iranian military bus in the southeastern Iranian border town of Zahedan Wednesday morning, leaving behind a charred, blood-splattered frame along with at least 18 dead and others wounded, state-run Iranian news agency IRNA reported.

A witness told IRNA the car blew up as soon as the bus, which belonged to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, arrived to pick up military personnel at a barracks.

Two motorcycle riders reportedly fired shots at the bus, forcing it to stop near the car bomb, which was then detonated by remote control, a witness said.

Iran's semi-official FARS news agency reported four people in a car cut off the bus around 6:30 am (10 p.m. ET), then sped away on two motorcycles -- later detonating the explosives by remote control.

Emergency workers rushed the wounded into ambulances, but authorities did not immediately report how many were hurt.

State-run IRINN television reported authorities had arrested four people.

FARS reported two of the arrested may be affiliated with a small terrorist group that has a history of attacking Iranian border posts.

The agency, citing an Iranian security official, said one of the arrested men was a would-be suicide bomber who tried to detonate his explosives, while another was carrying a camera to make a video of the attack.

Zahedan, located on the Iranian-Pakistan border near Afghanistan, is on a heavily traveled route used by smugglers to traffic contraband, such as opium, through Iran.

Iranian officials said the final destination of the contraband is usually Europe and the United States and that each year smugglers kill Iranian security forces in similar attacks.

The security forces attacked this time were members of the Revolutionary Guards, Iran's ideological force charged with defending the Islamic regime. It was created 1979 during the country's revolution.

I was thinking the same thing since most drug lords would not use suicide bombers, unless they have some interpetation of the Muslim faith that states if you protect your Opium crops and die for it you get the 72 virgins plus a hooka filled with a never ending stash of primo opium

Kinda points a clue to how screwed up that region really could be...
Up until now, Iran looked pretty much all together...

Why would Mossad do this? It's completely impractical for them to do something like that.

Iran's government doesn't need to do something like this either

Making something out of nothing? It says so that this happens often and that it is drug related.

Perhaps, but do the drug runners in that area use Suicide Bombers??

If so I would really like to know why? I mean the drug runners here in Texas and Mexico just chop off peoples heads and throw them in Dance Clubs...and that has only happened a few times... I do not know of any mules that would kill them selves in the name of the mighty dollar.

plus that line of about, drugs on the way to the West just sounds like a line from the Iranian Gov trying to keep the real issues of disatisfaction with thier Islamic Regime. Also why does the gov need a special task force to protect the Religious Section of the gov?? If everything was cool in Iran as we are led to beleive, why the special forces??

allot of questions, I know and I am sure Cyrus of all people can explain it to me, if not Hardcore.

Why do events like this have always to be connected with Iraq? There are countless examples of the last few years of different countries getting their military buses/transports bombed. Recent examples of such countries (including suicide bombers) are Russia, India, Pakistan, Israel, Turkey. So what?
