Circus Dj Competition 2007: MTLTA Participants

Hey everyone,

This is a thread for all the MTLTA's that are aspiring Djs and have entered the Circus Dj Competition recently. Something for all of us to hear and post our thoughts/likes/dislikes/etc on.
Although these mixes are only 30 minutes and don't give the Dj much room to excel his sound and reveal his quality, we believe the attempt to unify the mtlta talents under one thread can be fun.

I have the honor of posting two sets from two good friends to get this thing started;

MOEVALITH - www.moevalith.ca
>>>Moevalith January 2oo7 - Circus demo
01. shuma - Terminator [BEEF Records]
02. jussi Pekka - Dead Serious (Stereo Jack Mix) [Frozen North Recordings]
03. dan Curtin - Conduit [Turning Spork]
04. kaiser Souzai - Thelxiope [Rotor Recordings]
05. marc Ashken - Bubblegum Smile [Safari Electronique]
06. moevalith - gleichgewicht (rough Mix)

VIKTOR DESTIN - www.viktordestin.com
>>>Viktor Destin January 2oo7 - Circus Demo
01. Sebastian Roya - Compression [Connaisseur Superieur]
02. Monoroom - Memory Inc. Part 2 (Gui Boratto Remix) [Livelarge Records]
03. Gino's and Snake Plissken, Oxia - Seven (Oxia Rework Mix) [Notorious Electro Records]
04. Houseshaker - Future Theme (Tube & Berger Remix) [Opaque Music]
05. John Dahlback - Old Woods [Pickodoll]
06. Mark & John - Rince #1 [Pickodoll]
07. Benjamin Bates - Backtracking [Big & Dirty]

It would be really cool if all the MTLTA Djs that sent their shit to Circus can post here so we could have some interesting discussions about opinions, tastes and learn more about the MTLTADJ community

I'd take these down until the judging period is over.. nice looking tracklists though, plenty of very nice tunes right there!

Why do you name your track in german?

And depending on if you live at CFB Kingston your cost of living is probably very low as well, but even if you weren't cost of living in Kingston isn't that bad. Its only $30 which is cheaper than most nights at Stereo. Most of us on here who post about Stereo have put out probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars clubbing there just this year alone, and have never really complained for the most part. I know I sure as hell have.

Thats was the original plan, to post it after the deadline, but since our stuff was online after we found out about the deadline our stuff was leaked. I don't think it makes much difference. If some artists decides to take some of these tracks then it shows how original they are.

Enjoy: I'm gonna move to germany in 4-6 years time from now to pursue my EDM career, their market is right for me, I've already started doing some work towards that goal.

Marcus007: Trust me, style is the least of our worries, especially in this city.

Allied: As wisnia said, our info got leaked before we found out about the extension. It shouldn't matter at all, if other competitors wish to use our tracks then let them do so, but they'll know in their conscience that we p0wnz those tracks, copycats are cool to laugh at.

Actually, what I said had nothing to do with anyone biting your tunes, just would probably be best if none of the mixes were up until the judging period is over. It's possible some of the judges read this board and even more possible that these threads could influence decisions.

I'm probably being stupid here...

As for using 'your' tracks... I personally have a quite a few of the tunes on that list - didn't end up stealing any for my demo - but if I had this would make it very frustrating as you've both obviously marked the tunes on that list off as 'yours', when in reality only one of them is

what he said, plus if you listened to his other sets and prods that market would prolly appreciate his style more than here.Montreal isn't there yet, although funny enough 5 years ago it might have worked.Either way moe the track is very interesting...thumbs up.
