my dad has been looking to buy a dell for around that price. u guys know of any good deals or anything else besides a dell for around the same price. i know this is very veuge.. but iv heard bad things about dells and what to give him options.

Feb 07 maximum pc has a damn good rig that you can build for $1500. Of course, it's also a build it yourself type of thing. So if you or someone you know can setup a computer, check it out, and even if you can't, the article has instructions on how to.

you can build quite a good laptop from dell for that. i config'd one on their site for 1200 and it had 1gb of ram, dvd burner, 15"lcd, 1.8ghz core 2 duo, 256mb video card, 80gb hd. what else do you need? it also had the intel wireless abg card and bluetooth 2.0 with edr.
