i honestly don't really see a white picket fence, a nice hubby and a bunch of ankle biters running around in my life. not my thing. since i was a late bloomer with college, the remainder of my 20's will be spent in school and i honestly think my 30's are going to rock. i'll have a great career and money to travel and buy a home and a kick ass ride, shop when i want and where i want, be able to help my family out if they need it, etc...and i think 30's is still a great age too where you can still feel youthful and do crazy things.
and i have a feeling that if i decide i want kids, i'm going to end up adopting like an 8 or 10 year old when i'm in my 40's. if i had my own kid around 30, that's how old he/she would be anyway when i'm 40 lol. i don't know if i'm cut out for the beginning part of motherhood. breast feeding, crying, diaper changing, talking to other mom's while passing each other in the diaper aisle at the grocery store.
as for marriage. i have no opinion of it at this point in my life. if it happens, it happens...
i see a lot of travelling too when i'm finally done with school. i can definitely see myself doing something like moving to italy or the uk for a year or 2. just to get the hell out of the US and expand my horizons a bit...switch it up. but i'll probably end up back here obviously. maybe california.
so...what about you guys? marriage & kids? career? location?

In 5 years I will have just graduated school and started working, gotten my first apartment...or maybe a house with the bf. I'd like to live on my own for a few years, just to say I did it...and because I want to decorate, lol.
In 10 years...dunno...I'll prolly be married to the bf. Whether or not we'll have any brats or not is a whole different story. I'm on the fence about kids right now.
I will definitely have done some travelling by that point. I would take time off after school to do that, but I REALLY want to start nursing. I jones to do it. So perhaps after a few years of work I'll take some time off to travel.
Overall my future plans are pretty vague...the only thing I'm sure of is my career, and that I want to travel, and stay with my bf. Anything could happen, so I keep things flexible.

Why are we slow? Just because some people have a different order of doing things or want to wait a little longer? To each their own man.
