If you're familiar with the layout of Lizard Lounge then you already know where the VIP area generally is, but for those of you not well informed I'll explain where it is located.
Okay, let's say you're standing in front of the stage in the main room. You know the stairs on the right side of the stage? Well, it leads up the balcony and the section directly behind the circular raised stage all the way down to the glass window is considered the "VIP area" on designated nights. I don't think the Lounge has ever sold tickets to gain access to that area. That area is reserved for the promoters of the show, the performers either before or after their sets, & the "cool" people that the promoters give access to. In my opinion, Lizard Lounge doesn't sell tickets for VIP access because that area is so small.
In reference to your comments about feeling jipped at the PVD show.... I totally agree with you, however IMO, the promoters of the show as well as security are to blame for this. If I am going to pay an additional amount for VIP access then it's because I don't want to be stuck on the main floor standing extremely close to the person next to me. VIP access means that I will be chillin' somewhere not as crowded.
