Yea that long drive to Padre kinda sucks too. Besides, it rains almost every time I go there (only been there during spring break) but it's cool coz the swell is great and not many surfers know about Birch Point (almost near the end of the island)...oh man I could live there.

if you're aiming for SPI aim for summer. and i've never been to galveston so i have no input other than i can make it to both
