3.24 Balance 011 Launch Party: Luke Fair + Jimmy van M, Chris Fortier

The Balance Series has firmly established itself as one of the top choices for discerning music lovers who have a taste for cutting-edge music mixed by the world’s best underground DJs. Join us for a special ‘Balance 011’ CD launch party featuring Balance artists Jimmy van M (Balance 010), Chris Fortier (Balance 009) and the latest addition Luke Fair. There will be a private VIP cocktail reception for Press & Industry on the lush tropical roof-top lounge at Cafeteria from 10pm-12am.

EQ Recordings firmly continues the tradition of premium quality electronic music with its next edition of the well-received Balance Series. Canadian DJ/ Producer Luke Fair grabs listeners with his diverse programming on ‘Balance 011’ and takes us on a funky, tripped-out journey featuring tracks and remixes from Charles Webster, Humate, Timewriter, Francois K, Ian Pooley, Tom Middleton, David Holmes, Joey Negro and more.

In a few short years, Luke Fair has carved quite a reputation for himself as a producer and passionately experimental DJ, making him the perfect choice to follow others such as James Holden, Chris Fortier, Phil K, Paolo Mojo, Desyn Masiello, Anthony Pappa and Jimmy Van M. He has already released mix compilations on well-respected labels Yoshitoshi and Bedrock, with music that can be described as groovy, funky, housey and techy all at the same time. Fair has created a signature style for himself by imagining and re-editing versions of songs for his own sets. In the studio, his genre-crossing productions run the gamut from Dub House to melodic Progressive. His music has landed on every major radio show across the world, including BBC’s Radio 1 Essential Mix and Proton Radio, and his edits have graced the decks with DJs from everybody from John Digweed to Erick Morillo.

The ‘Balance 011’ tour will launch during Winter Music Conference 2007 and will continue onto various cities on four continents in 2007. Luke Fair global tour dates TBA.
