The track selection is right up my ally. I love the songs, they fit together really well. Your taste in trance is great, and I think you know how to set up a great trance set. However, the transitions could use a bit more work. I run into the same problem myself, because my equipment is shitty. Whether it would take a new tactic for mixing, or some new equipment, you're transitions away from the ideal.
Just a bit of information, DanielD is phenomenal when it comes to transitions, but I think his track selections could use a bit more work. You two are almost like opposites!
Just my opinion.... |
Yeah I explained this on djforums.com that in my May 2007 Trance Mix One that I messed up a lot of transitions which is down to shitty dj equipment. However, the tune selection is awesome so I've been told by many which I agree with heh. I'm always told I have great taste in Trance etc which is good to hear, but sometimes others say that I mess up the transitions too which I'm aware of. Right PITA for sure. Somehow in my May 2007 Trance Mix Two I pulled of the mixing a lot better though, but then one said he preferred my May 2007 Trance Mix One because of the great tune selection. I can't bloody win HAHA!
Seems I can't have both skills. Must keep practicing...
But yeah, my May 2007 Trance Mix Two is way better mixing wise but the tracklist is a bit more up and down. I did the set differently as explained in my May 2007 Trance Mix Two thread though
