Beatport removed this genre 6 months to a year ago, and I'm wondering what happened to all those records - did they just move them into house, tech house, minimal, and electro house sections? Why would they just do away with the entire genre?

Did I miss something - was acid house officially declared "over?"

They probably moved them into something else. Alot of acid stuff under techno and tech house, maybe that's where it went. Probably just some restructuring that's all.
