Well last night was an amazing evening of local partying. which to be quite honest really doesnt happen around here? But things change.

As mentioned in the event thread, there was a trance party going on at another bar in waterloo 'Philthy Mcnastys'. After me and some freinds got all liquored, we headed over, only for me to find i had forgot my ID. So i headed back home, and my freinds said philthys was amazing toons.

But after getting home, getting my ID, and getting my head back in the game, i headed over to the pines, to meet my freinds who would be leaving phils around that time.

Got into the pines at almost 12 on the dot, right in time for the Dman. was a tiny bit worried about the state of their 'honor system coat check' but figured what the hell,through my coat in too, and headed straight over to the dj booth. Jerms was comming toa close, and the place was already a rather nice stirr of faces. the venue was gorgious, just as the pictures layed out.

knowing i had some time, i ran down to get a drink, Amereto and Coke, my personal favorite. Although the price was on par with any other club or bar, the beverage itself lacked the 'coke' part. lol i nearly choaked on my amereto, 4 pieces of ice, and sprinkle of coke. lol but i love it anyway.

caught my freinds heading in, and headed straight over to the DJ booth for the second time. Deko-Ze had just taken over the tables. the musical madness would ensue. he just started cranking them out, and although i was more expecting a happyer deko-ze in gallery set, it was quite dark, and i was loving it. and so was the crowd.

at Zone 2 weeks ago for entrenna, deko dropped a song, from probably one of my very first cd purchases ever. Timo Mass - Ubik [ dance mix ] . and it killed me, i later had time to talk to him about it, and found he was so very well informed on all sides of the electronica spectrum.
But last night after getting my Delicious cd cover signed, i asked if he once again had that track, and he started laughing, and immediately remmebered the convo we had had at zone.
5 songs later Timo Mass - Ubik [dance mix] droppped and i died haha.

Ended up leaving around 2:30 with tunes still a blaring. hope to hear a review of his closing.

i used to goto the knotty pine as a kid all the time... loved the place then but enjoyed it even more with dekozes rockin tunes. i never thought id be dancin it up on those hardwood floors like that lol. such a classy venue transformed with those dirty banging beats .. seems kinda funny.


pretty diverse crowd last night that seemed to come together for the music. however, there were too many people just standing around trying to look good lol. most people were movin later in the night though, just seemed like it took them to long to get started.

dekozes set was killer as expected. i hope to see more parties at this place.

Got there pretty early with a few friends as I wanted to catch some of DJ Jermz set which was fuckin banging! There was hardly anyone dancing at 11pm so I took advantage of that and used half the fuckin dance floor for a good 45 min haha. It was nice and dry so I could hop around care free knowing I wouldn't have to worry about slipping like later on... Got to shake Jermz' hand after his set and tell him he gave me a good "warmup" for Deko-ze .. cool guy!

When deko-ze arrived I could not wait for him to pound out his infamous dirty beats, like I wanted to feel dirty all night. After 5 min I went up and asked him to play Tom Novy vs Eniac - Pumpin and about 20 min later he snuck it in and dropped it hard, I was just fuckin givin'er even though the hardwood floor was like an ice rink I did not care.

I was totally amazed by his energy, when ever I didn't feel like dancing to a song just watching him jump up and down and work the mixer gave me 'energy' and I started up again. And then he took his shirt off and you know what that means...

He switched from an easy going house song with vocals then just SLAMMED some dirty beats, and just switching back and forth between then - just phenomenal. It would be like dirty beats - dancing hard, then hands in the air relaxing...then DIRTY beats again - Deko-ze is one of the only guys who could pull this off right and right he did.

Overall, had a fuckin blast, probably lost 2lbs just sweating but hey - you pay to play right, I was there to dance and dance I did. Thanks Deko-ze and Jermz for giving me an awesome LOCAL saturday night - KW/C-bridge NEEDS more events like this!

Last night was awesome, the beats pretty much took over my body and i just couldn't stop moving. Got there around 11 and just hit the dance floor. I stayed up front for pretty much the whole time , i love seeing Deko-ze get into it...jumping up and down and moving the whole time really gets me going!

When Deko-ze started to spin i knew i was in for something dirty and hard and i was loving every second of his set. The floor was like ice close to the end of the night and i almost fell about 5 times...but i got over it quickly. I've seriously never danced so much in my life ...it was a blast!!

I was happy to have him come to Cambridge...definitely needs to happen more often in the K-W/Cambridge area!

oh god yeah, thankgod i came in from King and shot off a warning to my freinds about that. thats just such a typical Cambridge thing to have done
