Finished my latest track the other day, was really wondering if you guys think this is good enough to send off to labels, I've not tried sending stuff off yet, but you know how you can lose perspective when judging your own track, so some good feedback would be very much appreciated!

I'll be honest mate, so I hope you don't take this the wrong way, I'm just here to help

I can almost promise you to a 90% degree that most labels will be put off by the bassline, it takes too much space, too wide and too sharp and people are going to get freaked out and hit the stop button before they get to the good parts. I'd recommend ditching that one completely and go for a more subtle bassy one coupled with a lighter plucky bassline to fill it out.

Also, pan some elements and stereo enhance, such as the arpeg to get a good width. Also, the lead is not a good sound, and it's too quiet as well, so you barely notice it. I'd ditch that sound as well and go for a sharper more present sound, prefferably something with fast attack. Otherwise, the composition and layout is good, kicks and percs work nice as well.

I´m not a producer my self so I can´t say much about the the details, but I have to say the melody and the atmosphere sounds really nice! But I agree with Drik, I think you could make it stand out more. Anyway, I enjoyed! Thanks for sharing!

Hey guys, cheers for the replies, really gd feedback and tips, appreciated. I've started work on a new bassline, don't have as much time to work on it right now as i'd like (bludy uni, should just fail lol) but as soon as I've made some changes i'll post an updated version. Overpowering basslines is something I always seem to do..

Thing to consider with basslines is that they're there to be bass, a bottom end to your track, they're not there to steal the show, so go easy when you're mixing them

A good idea is to listen to some reference tracks to get the levels right.

That’s a nice tune you got there…but its no more then a nice tune. You can hear that it was made by an amateur, the melodies are nice and the whole thing has some good flow and energy.
But technically speaking this lacks a lot mainly pro sounding leads bass and everything and way better mixing and sound arranging. This track has nothing special to offer, no innovation no spark.

Get that "getting signed" thing out of your head and start working on improving your production skills, that’s the only advice I can give you right now.

dude the drums _ where´s the power of the drums ? _ i´m also a producer and a big fan of powerful drums _ i´m missing these in your track _ i think they have to "lead" the track to push it forward _ the bassline is maybe just a bit to deep _ melo is nice but nothing special

it´s a good track _ maybe you´ll work on it to make it bigger
