Ok, here's my proper review now that I'm rested showered and shaved...
I'm sorry but this was very disappointing. I've seen JZ multiple times in Miami, jacksonville, london, etc and he never disappoints. James is of course one of my top 5 favorites of all time and I never miss a show (except perhaps his pool party that starts in about an hour...way too tired)
We got in around 1 or so and Nic was doing alright warming up the crowd. He played some nice deep house sounds with good rolling base that was easy to just groove to, not really danceable though.
When james got on everyone went nuts and his first half hour or so was great. After that though I just felt like he really lost steam and pulled a sasha, floating over the crowd playing experimental shit that only he likes It just didn't go anywhere and didn't have any of the great tech house funk that jz usually drops. This is the same dj who's signature tracks are Cowbell, OMG its techno music, we have the technology, etc. Those are all old songs but I expected something of the same style. Plus I heard no effects, no scratching, none of the jz techy craziness I've come to know and love.
It was just straight up boring to me so I left at 345...I'm sorry to say it but that's how I felt. It probably picked up for the last hour or two, but I just wasn't feeling it and couldn't stay. shrug.
