quote:

The Pyramat PM550 is a powered Sound-Lounge that puts its users right in the middle of the action - thanks to its inbuilt speakers, subwoofer and ARX™ (Audio Response Technology). Tried and tested by the VW crew (they're well wicked!), they're perfect for Sunday chillout sessions.

The Pyramat PM 550 provides absolute comfort and a unique sensory experience. The sides of the backrest are bevelled to deliver personal surround sound with precision. The sound system is engineered into an ergonomically accurate, lumbar supportive floor loafer that feels ideal for virtually any body type. Compatible with all game consoles, any audio device, TV, VCR, DVD or MP3 players, Pyramat features an exclusive embedded ARX audio system. With two 4-inch 80W coaxial drivers at your sides, a 50W 5.25-inch ARX subwoofer behind your head, and the ARX physical reverberation technology behind your back, entertainment becomes a total visceral experience. Pyramat’s appearance is funky and extreme, reminiscent of the technical detailing of premium sports cars. It features high-density cushion with a contoured, ergonomic backrest. For gaming with friends, you can join up to eight Pyramats together and get everyone into the game.

All plug-in cords are down at your feet to ensure tangle-free play and less mess. The digital hand-held remote is hard wired, completely self contained, and tucks conveniently into its own holster, positioned right at your side. A zippered pocket keeps small accessories within reach. The Pyramat folds quickly and secures with its own belt for easy storage.

my back is fvcked from too many hours listening to tunes in uncomfortable seating. this looks pretty cool to me

Fuck, I was expecting much higher than that! I just might have to give one a test run. That thing looks like an awesome way to end a weekend of shananigans.

It doesn't look too comfortable to me. The back wouldn't provide enough support and it's too high to lie down without hurting your neck.

if you are a hardcore console gamer you have gotta get yourself one of these, theyre great. currently trying to work out how to use this successfully with a PC. mucked around playing Q3 & vietcong, and the bass effects are very cool.

its also very comfy in the lying postion, but not so if youre trying to sit up a bit. but im a lounger so its perfect for listening to tunes on. has a headphone jack too which suits my listening style.

i really wanna hook it up to my tv and play toca 3 with my steering wheel
