Non-live use of Ableton
I keep going through the tutorials, but can't seem to find a way to organize a number of tracks to arrange and record in "studio" form aka without using Live, live.
Is there a way to use Ableton as if you were using MixMeister? I know the two programs are worlds apart in terms of functionality, but I'm looking to make a studio mix that would give me the flexibility of Ableton editing, without having to try and record using my damn keyboard as a mixing console.
Is it just a matter of lining up tracks in the Arrangement view? What about warping? How do you sync BPMS from one track to the next without live usage?
Sorry for the noobish questions, but this is a project I've been trying to get at for a while, with no success. Hopefully somebody can help.
Thanks.
