Very, very cool. Would love to get my hands on that thing

Looks like Henke still needs some practice with it though

That being said, I'd love to see a Monolake show.

Just search either "Henke Monodeck" or "Monodeck 2" and you'll be all set

I've been interested in building a custom controller for a damn long time. Seems like such a challenging task though, I just love the look of it. I know for a fact you can get the parts you need from http://www.doepfer.de/home.htm.

Would be extremely expensive though.

Richie's controller isn't the same thing.

that's the CTRL:LIVE console. he has only used that once, for the Plastikman LIVE show in Mutek 2004. it's a control console for audio AND video. it is linked to Ableton and this other program for screwing with video, Touch. he actually had the programmers find a way to link the two, in the way that now each sound also has an image, and if he modifies the sound somehow, he also modifies the image. the show has only been done once, though.

his MIDI controller is the Allen & Heath CTRL:92

originally a hand-modded XONE:62 made by Richie's dad, and Allen & Heath took it in, checked it out, modded a 92 to do what that did, and sent it to Richie. for a while, it was exclusively his, now i understand it's commercially available.
