We're bringing John 00 Fleming down for 3 gigs in India... and in all honesty, I haven't heard much of him... just his reputation.
And yes, there was that post about what he's apparently written after the DJ mag poll came out, that impressed the fuck out of me...
So what can we expect... and is he all that he's made out to be?

he have a unique style. you won't come across many djs which plays the kind of sets like his.
he often starts up with some deep progtrance and goes on to some edgy full on trance. it never takes a cheesy turn. you won't hear many tunes with vocals in any of his sets.
so if you are a fan of some interesting trance which haven't been hammered to death expect one of the best club nights.
Sounds very promising... especially te crossover into psy bits - Bombay's rather big on the psy scene...
Rasa Lila's on his website... has vocals from some Indian vocalist doing a sweeping "aalaap" (like an Aria- but Indian)... sounds insanely good! Should be a stormin'night...

Nik, J00F is one of biggest trance/psy DJs in the world and he seems relatively unknown compared to most psy acts of his size! I remember telling people about him who were much deeper into the psy scene than I was.
He's dope. He has a crazy good radio show and doesn't play shitty music.
What more could you want?!
Cheers- Good to see you on here again as well!

What more?? I'll tell you... I've finally managed to get a club (FUGA in Bangalore) to invest in DJ talent from abroad. Their budgets are small, but we could do with the support of more DJs like j00f to raise the bar here in India.
So can some of the "names" in the biz step up and support the scene in India please? We can't pay you what you earn in Europe... but we'll feed you the best curry you've tasted....
and yes, the crowds, small as they are... are completely mental!
Coming soon... "The great white Guru - India tour".
You know you've got gigs as soon as you get back here... but I'm serious... we need the "names" to invest their time in the scene here... I really do thing India is the new frontier for dance... just look at the numbers, and the economical growth. The clubbers need to be exposed, and shown that intelligent life exists beyong the Indian film music scene....
(it currently accounts for 92% of music sales in india)

in the mainstream trance scene, he is very unique.
his label j00f has a bunch of great releases, and his mixes and a solid mix of psy/goa/prog/trance. in india he will probably play more goa/psy since that is what people like more (i used to spin at HQ / fire n ice about 5 years ago)
try to download some of his latest livesets, you'll definitely be impressed.
