How could i go about getting a dvd of myself skydiving and reduce it into smaller file such as mpeg to put on youtube

not sure I understand you well but you need a camera and if you are skydiving I assume you know professionals who can install a camera on the helmet. Then just transfer the footage to your computer and there are plenty of video encoders out there to encode the footage as mpeg2 on dvd or other files for internet video sites
