[Album] The Black Dog - Book of Dogma {Soma Quality Recordings}
I hadn't purchased a full artist album in quite some time, and in the last month, I've bought two.
This Techno/Breaks release on Soma is one of the best I've heard in a LONG time, very melodic, chilled out breaks and techno with some really, really interesting samples and instruments used.
People looking for melodic techno will definitely be loving this one.
didn't know the black dog had a new album out...love those guys...i'll definitely check it out

It's not a new album per se, rather a compilation of older tracks and rarities. For instance, Virtual/The Weight/Ambience With Teeth originally came out in 1989(!).
As I'm not an avid buyer of vinyl and didn't follow these guys too closely in the IDM heyday, I'll be buying this. Muchos classic stuff to be found here.

Hmmm... I was under the impression it was about half old, half new - but thanks for the info

It's new in the sense that many of the tracks have been remastered and reworked. The tracks are all old gems and rarities from various 12"s and albums, though.
I've been liking their stuff for awhile, this collection was no exception...
