Who else is disappointed with the way music is going?

i have been pretty disappointed with all the new music coming out and find it harder and harder to get that 'CLASSIC' tune that we are all searching for! long gone are my days of ordering maybe 10 or 15 tunes at a time! what is happening!

What a massive generalization. This happens to everyone from time to time, and depends on what genres of music you're interested in. I've found a good amount of exciting tracks in the last week or so, but in the previous 2 or 3 weeks found nothing whatsoever. It's always the same cycle.

Now, obviously, if you limit yourself to the tracks that came out THIS week, you're gonna have a much harder time finding good music. I always find good music, like, 3 months to 1 year late, because at the time it got released I either missed it or wasn't interested in that particular kind of music yet. Stop browsing by date and have fun.

Oh, and sometimes it's also good to take a break from music. Stop for 1 or 2 weeks, and when you'll come back for new stuff you'll find it sounds fresher.

I hardly ever check music that has just been released anymore.. There's much more stuff from 5-7 years ago I like.. Digging through all that keeps me busy. Goodies are found on a regular basis.

These threads are always fun. They never end in blood, sweat and/or tears.

Midlife crisis. I suggest buying new "cool" clothes, dating 16 year old girls and pretending you're not halfway towards death.

i agree with what your saying! i also have more fun browsing through music 4 or 5 years ago! maybe one day i will feel the same about the music that is getting released today. i know i generalized alot b4 but i am a trance lover and feel they just dont make it like they used to!

That's why I like dance music. By the time I get bored of one sub-genre I can swap to another.

Expand your musical horizons, I'm sure you'll find something you like.
