Anyone know how I can compare Core 2 Duo processors with single-core processors.
For example on Dell.com I see the following:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz
Is this equivalent to
Intel Pentium Single-Core 2.66x2 = 5 GHz? |
Just think of it as more than one physical processor. The only difference is that the cores are on one die instead of their own.
I have the Intel quad core and Windows see's it as four seperate proc's.
