The picture does look like it has slightly different knobs though.
Considering the one on agi's site is based off actual photos, I think that's the one you are likely to wind up with.

Im gonna have to post a noob question and ask why do people like switching from faders to rotary? Is there any specific reason, how does it make a major difference in your mixing style?

I've installed the rotary on the djm3000, very easy to do yourself. I certainly prefer the rotary action, but the curve on the 3000 is awful. 90% of volume control is between 8 and 10, not linear at all. Is the 800's rotary better in that regard?
