Here is my review....friend of mine put it on up ivibes because he liked so much. AMAZING NIGHT!......i remember seeing UWO Tranceaddict and his cowboy hat.
My Review of the Delta Heavy Tour, April 5th/2002
On Friday, unusual things happened in Toronto, we got snow in April but another unusual thing was the Delta Heavy Tour dropping into Toronto. Sasha and Digweed have not played together in Toronto since 1999, so it was a welcome surprise when they said would stop in Toronto.
When we were getting in line for this event, we see two big long Coaches in the parking lot and we conclude that is how the Star Deejays travel around for their tour, in really nice looking coaches.
Well the night started with Jimmy Van M spinning the warm-up set from 10-12AM. But the first thing you noticed in the Koolhaus when you entered it was all the speakers everywhere, lights and screens everywhere. Sasha and Digweed brought the Phazon Sound System with them and a ton of extra lights, screens and other stuff and we playing with 4 decks. I’ve never heard a phazon sound system but it sounds so crystal clear and good.
So Jimmy Van M played mainly banging house and some progressive stuff that most people had never heard. By 11pm, most of the crowd was in the venue and dancing to Jimmy’s warm up set, which was very, very good. Well at 11:56pm, Digweed walks on stage and the crowd goes wild and starts chanting digweed, digweed, digweed. Just then the lasers start going and the crowd starts to go crazy. Well he started with an ambiant sounding track and the crowd was going crazy from start. About 10 minutes later, Sasha walks on stage and the crowd goes wild again, but this time chanting sasha, sasha. Both of them seemed happy that the crowd was so energetic and loud. So John spins for the first 45 minutes and then Sasha changes with him. Sasha’s 1st part was well thought out, very good, very moving. He played more breaks than we are used to hearing, mainly because breakbeat is not very big here yet. 1AM rolls around, the crowd is in Sasha’s hands but I see someone walking in the crowd and sure enough it was john digweed, walking through the crowd and shaking hands with people. Such a nice guy, I tell you. When he was talking to people and shaking hands, he kept laughing and smiling. So then about 45 minutes later, they switch again. John plays some really deep progressive tracks and the crowd is still going nuts at this point. About 45 minutes later, they change again but the tracks that Sasha was playing were very unique sounding and most of us guessed that he dropped a few tracks from his upcoming album. Actually the tracks were so good that most of us concluded that only Sasha could have done it. They changed again and again. 4AM rolls around, we cheer for Sasha and Digweed and the lights come on. Show Over, Sasha and Digweed and the tour pack up and get ready for another city and another set to play. We all go home very, very happy because we got destroyed by Sasha and Digweed and loved every minute of their 4 hour set. We just wish they would come back soon.

What a night last night. Everything seemed to be just perfect, unbelievable music, good friends (the retards from western were down), good ladies, and a good overall crowd, not that many sweaty gino's. Too bad they kicked us out at 4, I was not happy and I thought a riot would break out. But overall, I have to say it was probably one of the best nights I've ever had.

I didn't think the crowd vibe was anything special.. but it sure wasn't the usual crowd, which was pretty good.
I posted my review below on "sasha raped me"
Basically, I enjoyed the last 2 hours, did not regret paying the ticket price and going, I wanted to see them anyways, but with all the hype around, I was really prepared to be blown away, but... didn't work out. And that 4 am closure cccc

I'm glad that most of you TAs had a good time at S&D because, personally I didn't. The tickets were way too expansive at $51.25, the line to get in was 45 min for me, and a whopping 80 min for coat check! I spend over 2h waiting in line, and 4h parting. Their set was just plain boring for me, perhaps with the exception of the last hour or so, which was ok. It just seemed like one long beat/track all night long. I just couldn't find the drive and inspiration to loose myself in the music. I guess that I'm truly a trance lover at heart.
Other than that, I was really impressed with the lighting and decor. The sound system was very nice, although a bit loud (earplugs ). It was nice running in to all the TAs once again, and hopefully I will see many of you again, next week at Armin.
