Musica De Glengie: Summer Moon

Im not sure what genre this would be but, whatever. There is no outro at the momment.

Please review! Criticism needed! Even if it is just like... two words!

Newest Version:

Glengie - Summer Moon

Not bad. Sounds like the beginning of some tech/prog house.

Its missing hihats but you know that.

My favorite part is at the end, when the ever so faint bell like instrument comes in.

Im not a huge fan of the bass line... I feel like I would prefer something a bit more hypnotic and monotone.

Anyway, hope to hear the full track soon!

Hey mate,

this track has some potential but a few pointers:

* It reminds me a little of that track that was released that was a remake of the U2 track (the cheesy one).

* The Kick drum needs to be more prominent in the mix (perhaps getting the Vengeance Essential Club Sounds Vol 1 or 2 CD or download the Icone trance percussion pack will help this). They also contain some hi-end percussion elements like hi hats, rides etc that could help.

* The hi - frequency pad sounds good but not on it's own, needs a lower pads, string sound to accomodate it. Something to fill the gap between the bass and the pad sound you have used.

* The track has no real direction. If you took the end of the track and stuck it onto the beginning, it wouldnt really look out of place. You should introduce and incorporate different sounds as the track progresses.

Take note of the above and you could have a wicked tune. Sorry to be so critical of your track, but you gave me a solid review so I'd thought I'd be as honest with you

Thanks

Paul

DJ Eternal! You rock man, that is exactly the kind of critique I was looking for!

I've taken this track, and lead it on a totally different journey. For those of you, who reviewed the original track, check out the new version:

Glengie - Summer Moon

And again, by all means, don’t be afraid to criticize! I need as much as I can get.

hey buddy, im reviewing the new version (havent listened to the old one)

ok here goes, reviewing while listening..

make a longer intro for example first the kick plays with a few percussions and you then slowly introduce the leads instead of playing it all at once... nice pads, the tune definatly needs more percussions.. i only hear open hats.. around 2:50 i like the bassline and leads you got playing sounds nice nice pads at the outro,

things i would change in the track is the following :

*the kick could use a bit more "Punch"

*Structure, the tune sounds good however i find the structure of it very strange, try to change it, for example intro, slow introduction of leads, break, build up, climax, outro...

*more percussions throughout aswell, claps, closed hats, etc....

really like the melodies, the tune definatly has potential. just needs a few more changes imo..

good luck!

Bidor
