New House track - Feel the music ***UPDATED***

Hi there, I know this is not trance but I've decided to try something differnt. Been working on this lately and needed some feedback if anyone could spare the time. The kick has a slight problem which I need to change. I hope you like it. Thanks

You can save or stream the track using the buttons play or save bottom left of screen.

**EDIT**

I've updated the track please let me know what you think of it. Still not finished, lots to do yet including mixing it, fine tune the FX and add more FX and make the vocal sit better in the track

well hello justin,

looks like i'm first to comment on this

interesting use of percs, my recomendation since this is much more synth-type-house music is to keep the percs closed. used closed hats, closed snare hits, etc. much more piano/acoustic/natural house music has these open hits and thats because it generally helps with the small-release type instruments

cool synth line, fx seems in place, whitenoise seems a little bland... maybe run that thru a saturation filter

breakdown thru me off, i understand we need to get away from the 8 bar bassline but maybe something with more fx then a big counter melody.

anyways i like the track, let me know when you're finished i'd like a copy

Anthony

Hi Anthony many thanks for your feedback. Ill take on board the perc's comment and try it out. Do you mean open hits are better for natural instruments and closed for synths etc? Ive gotta eq quite a few things so will sort out the white noise as it did accure to me that its wasnt the best.

I started the track with the breakdown not intending to end up with the bassline that I have now. Wasnt too sure whether to keep it or not as it didnt fit the bassline, but I spent a bit of time on it so carried on anyway. Do you think it sounds out of place? Like too trancey?

Hello.

I like the percussion in this track. You've got a few well placed hats here and there that add to the groove of the track. Maybe add the occasional random percussive element just to add a bit more variation?

I didnt think the breakdown worked too well. Not necessarily too trancey, I like house tracks with a bit of melody in them but I thought this particular sound just didnt fit too well with the rest of the track. Just my opinion though.

I liked the bass line, got a good groove to it. Maybe every now and then put some filter movement at the end of sections or vary the notes up a bit?

There is potential here though so keep at it...

Hi G-Con, thanks for the feedback. I'll probably add a few changes to the bassline, that did cross my mind. Im glad you liked it, will definately take your comments on board while I continue. Ive started a new breakdown, once that is done and few other things I'll post up an update. Thanks again.

hey Justin,

this is a great update, good modulation on the bass. still not sold on the percs but they do fit, i just think it drags down the energy of the bass a bit.

did you update the kick? sounds quite strong.

i do like the update on this quite a bit, good job.

Anthony

p.s. i have a new track too, my remix of promises(1st track in my sig)... check it out

Hi anthony, when you say perc's does that include the bongo's? I think i did change the kick but the last sample i posted was low bit rate so it probabaly sounded quiet. Thanks for your feedback. Im going to try and complete it this week if i get time. I will defo check out some of your tracks to.
