Montreal/ Bal en Blanc weekend review thread

Montreal 2007

My fourth time, I have 5 BILLION requests (almost literally) about EVERY detail of the weekend. And this is a weekend that deserves a full review. BEST WEEKEND OF MUSIC EVER!!!!!!!!!

Friday: Markus Schulz @ Stereo

First of all it took us TWELVE hours to get to montreal on friday, dont EVEN get me started on that. So me and Wai were exhausted and of course Montreal is full of crazy mofo's that START their parties at 4:30 am LOL. wtf!?! lol

We met the opener, who's name was Gabriel (batts? sp?) and he just killed it. absolutely sick set and his interaction with the crowd was NUTSOLA. definately played Andy moor/El "find" And that Fonzerelli tune at some points. lol fantastic guy, too. He said it was his dream to play in stereo for markus, so he was on top of the world and you could tell he put everything into his set.

Now, let me just tell you about this Markus f*ckin schulz guy. He OWNED our asses this weekend. beat after hard beat. The set just got better and better and by the end he was throwin it down PROPPA! SICK HARD BEATS!!! I have NEVER EVER heard him play/interact with the crowd like that. Stereo has a sick system and he played harder than I have ever heard him. The combo of the two rocked us. You could tell why it was his fav place to play in the world.

Wai and I were lucky enough to get to stand up in the VIP/DJ booth area and meet a ton of amazing people (thx Jim! woot!), including the awesome workers and owner of Stereo. They were all fantastic people who were SOO hospitable and for some reason thought it was the best thing in the world that we were from NYC. LOL they all freaked out about that for some reason and treated us so well, you have no idea!! And wai will tell you....a great part of the night was when we got to meet Markus! The owner: "Markus, when you get done playing that song you HAVE to come meet kelly, she is FAB-U-LOUS!!!" LOL What a fantastic guy markus is(who knew? He always has such a stern look on his face! He was smiling and laughing the whole time in MTL!). He was jumpin around going crazy, and a couple times pointed to me and Wai while we were in the booth and began dancing around like crazy. LOL haha crazy man!

The owner was nice enough to let extend the invitation to have drinks with them after the set downstairs, and even tho, I swear it was like 10:30, and we hadn't slept for like 30 hours, we could NOT pass that up!! Wai musta been freakin because its her fav DJ We ended up havin some drinks and had a really interesting and funny conversation with the guy. I was completely impressed because a lot of DJ's will have this "passing by" convo where they are not really interested and say two words to you before heading to the exit/groupie who will fuck them. lol He was extremely friendly and took the time to have a funny and real conversation with us (and *thankfully* about something good, not something retarded and repetitive, like about how much people love him, blah blah, ya know?)

anyways, the moral of that story was that (and I can say this because I heard her say it) it was Wai's best night ever, and a SICK one for me. We were in a fantasic club, we met a shitload of great TA's from all across canada (damn they came from EVERYWHERE!!!, got to meet such friendly and hospitable people (and even went out with a worker from stereo the next evening because we had so much fun), got MANHANDLED by the light guy who was in the booth with us!! LOL, got to meet markus, and heard a set that I have NEVER heard come outta that man!! Markus went up in my list a MILE because now I know what he is capable of: DESTROYING THE PLACE!!!!!!

Seriously a TON TON TON more interesting stories but you can hear them in person because the bal review is gonna be hella long.

BEST way to start the weekend.

Bal review next.

Love is in the air

BAL EN BLANC 2007

ALl I have to say to preface this is: HOLY FUCKING TOONAGE!!!! Music weekend of the CENTURY!! nothing could beat this night. If you are a fan of hard SICK beats, HUGE breakdowns, and full hours of classics mixed in, you could not go wrong. This could not have been a better night in terms of music in ANY POSSIBLE WAY. I almost want to write this whole thread in CAPS IT WAS THAT F*CKING SICK!!!! and not JUST *my* typical trance. I was in the mood for something hard....I got it.... and I got the shit kicked outta me by beats. nada, jenn, mere, etc, you bitches need to go cry in your rooms right now.

Review:

Decor/sound/vibe:

These are my complaints: the decor was really cool, but had nothing to do with the theme of white, so not impressed at all! What ever happened to having WHITE decor at a WHITE party?

The sound: shit. Was fine for the hard, deep beats, but when armin/ A&B played the high pitched trancey shit, the sound killed my ears And on top if that the front speakers (or whatever) cut off like at LEAST 20 times during armin's set. He looked like he was gonna freakin kill somebody, but kept the dimples pumpin! lol The other speakers were all in the back, so the music didn't STOP but it sounded like it was far away enough to be in the other room Seriously, people, the whole point of this party is the music, so if thats not right, thats bullshit.

Vibe: Amazing, friendly people everywhere (again FREAKIN out everytime they asked where I was from?? must be they like nyc??) LOFL!! it was like I was a freakin celebrity or something! (prolly too much E up in the place!) The whole Bal vibe was def not the same as last year but still great. The nudity and CRAZY costumes were ten fold last year, but this year had plenty enough to keep us entertained. And whats with the group of 80-year-old white ladies with pink mohwaks??? that was a big wtf of the night but also awesome in the same sense. They looked so excited to be there and jammin!! The vibe in and of its self was a million times better tho: people were there to go nuts, no one was rude AT ALL and the whole scene was just incredible!! Loved all the Mtl/TO/ottawa TA's.....you know who you are, dont make me say all your names, thats just not right. lol You guys treated us so well. Special shoutouts Fahad who gave wipe downs with his stack of towels by appoinment. also, Malek, because I finally got to meet him and he was just as nice as people said he was. Personal stories MUCH later but this review is SEVERELY long enough JUST talking about the musique:

DJ's

Very front, perfect spot the WHOLE night....didn't even rest for ONE second the whole party.

Sander van doorn

Holy shit he was SIIIIICK. Hard beats just NON STOP!! and a few trance toons to fill the gap and give us a breather, like "black is the colour" etc. I remember him also playing his rework to "King of the Castle" or whatever. The crowd ATE HIM UP. He is so cute and fuckin innocent, too, it is so strange to see a guy like that crank out the beats. Way better than in nyc imo, and thats saying something. sorry miss nada, I know you wanted to hear that shit!

Second Sun

Say what you will, but I truly thought I was gonna be bored during this. I went to the Looooong restroom and missed the first 20 minutes of their set. When I returned, I was SHOCKED to see the place going absolutely BANANAS, and at full capacity. I went back up front to see the commotion, and they were totally KILLING it. They had the crowd by the balls. MUCH more upbeat than in nyc, and since they were after Sander again, they really gave it to us. Antoine was just going psycho and I loved it! PLus he is slightly easy on the eyes. His patna was having a blast. lol

Armin
Let me tell you, this was SUCH a sick night of tunes that ARMIN was not even my fav!! lol He played an AMZING set, tho, and had the crowd eating out of his hands. The crowd was just PSYCHOTIC during his set. He hypnotized them and coulda asked them suck his left nipple and they woulda done it. LOL seriously the man has some sort of power over people. Lots of build-ups and hard beats being dropped. I think he knew he was in Montreal and kicked the intensity up a bit...dropped some sick beats. He was good about mixing it up and played some TrAnCeInYoUrPaNts, too. And lotsa jesus poses, I know you all like that! lol Too bad the sound was fuckin up for him Always a pleasure, but my fav was still yet to come....

Above & Beyond

All I have to say is wow. Such a hard act to follow after armin took control of the crowd. This was where the classics came in. and I got to see Paavo in action, and what a fakin crazy ass NERD!! I loved it!! They guy was jumpin and dancing and singin all over the place, and jono was reppin that shit as well! jono practially got pulled INTO the crowd at the end when girls just started reaching for him and pulling him....thay loved them! I got to speak to Paavo, and asked why he had not played in NYC with the other two fellas. He said something like (Over the LOUD sound of toonage) he had never been to nyc but is making arrangements to come next time. He explained that he had a baby to take care of....awww. baby paavo
anyways....SUCH great energy. Played a lot of classic tunes: Satellite, Alone Tonight, that sorta thing. Choon after choon, it was like a f*ckin SING-ALONG in there. LOFL It was great, too because it wasn't so hard....so that we could take a break from all the madness, but crazy enough to make the crowd (again) so crazy!! Kinda funny too, when jono was going a little nuts and slipped on his ass lol everyone was def laughin at that, and so was he! AMAZING SET, one of, if not the best I have heard from them.

The best sets I have heard from like ALL of the DJ's in one night.....they came to play.

and finally.....the best part of my weekend by a million miles:

PREACH

oh....my.....god. Can we say:DESTROYED??? I dont even have the words. The man came on at 10am, and after hours and HOURS of dancing, he still had all of us going PSYCHOTIC. Its the only word to use. I was so impressed that he kept that place so full til the very last moment and if you looked around people were still busting out hard! He played some SICK NASTY DISGUSTING tech/trance. Similar to SVD, but harder and more disgusting. He was so effin good that I can only think of negative words to describe it. lol He was RELENTLESS!!! AT one point, I was soo tired, but refused to miss a second of this ridiculousness. I PRAYED that he would actually give us ONE SINGLE toon that sucked so I could break, and he would not even give me that. not even ONE. I have never asked for something like that lol. At the end I felt as if someone had run me over with a car. By 11:30 am I had to physically support myself with my hands on the stage to keep dancing, but refused to leave. lol I was dying. If you wussed out, gave up and left before preach, you ought to really go cry in a corner somewhere. I even remember someone being rushed out on a stretcher at the end and someone commenting that they must have been dancing to preach's set. lol The irony of all this was that I had the pleasure of meeting him earlier on in the evening (morning?). When he asked where I was frome he said something like: "OMG you came from NYC?? well I dont know what you are going to expect but I have changed my style a bit and I hope you aren't dissapointed!" DISSAPOINTED!! maybe ONLY because I was wrecked and couldnt dance as hard as I wanted....thats about it! set of the year for me so far, and not because I love him, but because he proved to me WHY I loved him as a DJ.

In meeting preach: one the highlights of the year. I know he is not some supasta like armin, but I have such respect for this guy, and he has always been one of my fav's since the first time I saw him in mtl 3-4 years ago. Fahad, my love, is my hero for introducing us! Fahad claims it was a lightening strike from god that he ran into him in the vip bathroom, and asked him to talk with me. Apparently Phillipe knew who I was already??? So... that was flattering!! All of a sudden, fahad grabs me and pulls me running over to preach. Anwyas,I didn't know what fahad was doing as he dragged me around Bal, but then I see phillipe standing there waiting.... so all I would think was "omg I haven't prepared a speech!! (and started laughin at myself for being so silly!)" LOL!!....and it wasn't exactly my dream situation to meet phillipe at 9:30 am after retarded hours of nonstop dancing and lookin like shit, but I didn't even care. I was so excited! I dont even remember what I said! (this could be bad!lol).....
So surprised what came out of this guys mouth. He was so genuine and excited, intense and passionate, and sincerely friendly to me. He talked my effin ear off and I loved it! so much to say! He greeted me by yelling "happy birthday Kelly!!" mad loud...lol thats hot like fi-yah, bitches! Love this guy.....he does what he wants in life and music..... is confident about it, and throws it down proppa. Much love and respect to you!! At the end of his set, he came on stage as the lights and music turned off, and yelled: "Hey its this girls birthday and she is from new york, isn't she amazing??" lol the 20 drugged out people left in front of the stage all were like "awwwwwww its your birthday, thats awesome!!!" and hugs went flying!! lol ecstacy is some funny shit. LOFL!! haha the mini-shout out made my heart ----><3

anyways, this was one of the best musical nights of my clubbing life, and I wanted to share it with everyone (besides the requests from a million people for a long ass review with every detail).

Stories, conversations and moments will be added as nessecary and in person, but the music had to be told about first and foremost.

best birthday in YEARS!!!

PEOPLE

Firstly I want to thank Kelly (yankeebaby) for making this experience
happen for me. You single handedly convinced me to come. I can't believe I
ever had any doubts. If future lineups are anything like last night's (I
have a feeling they will be--dont worry Nada ) I will never miss it. You
and Y were awesome roommates and made the whole experience so much fun.
Thanks again for pushing my lazy ass and for all your generosity!!! I
*heart* u forever, Kelly.

Malek, akhee, u are the greatest u mofo. I have several friends in Mtl but
no one can single categorically ensure how great of a time I have the way
you can. Thanks again for the ticket. You are a brother for life *heart*. I
will be personally insulted if u don't allow me to reciprocate when you
visit Toronto. Which better be soon, BITCH!

Y, it was so cool to meet u and spend some quality time getting to know u.
EXCELLENT convos and had tons of fun going out for brunch and dinner with
you and Kelly. Can't wait for u to show me that cupcake place in NYC!
Best of luck with your interesting field of study at NYU.

Linzie and Adi good times in the hotel room?lmfao at some of the pics. Adi
awesome moments with u on the dance floor, buddy, so good to see u. Linzie
loved ur new hair and the lashes, see how the extra layer of glue on top
was key? lol

Angelo, Peter, Peter, and Dave (is it Dave or Steve? I took your number at
the Docks on my old phone and I can't find it--sorry dude! ) it's always
cool to see you four at all the parties. It makes every event feel like
home! Angelo, you're a brother AND you're one of the hottest men on
facebook lol and Peter, Mr. Souvlaki, I <3ed the outfit, you Greek
God you!!!! All those wikked experiences throughout each set were awesome!
Seeing you pumping it and get excited each time a bomb was dropped raised
my energy level several notches!!!! Parties aren't the same without you
boys...and the hot girls you bring! *cough*Francis*cough* lol
(feel free to pass the message, "omghi2ubbq" to her ) Nice to meet all
your other friends, also.

Selma, you are such a sweetie!!!! It was so nice to finally meet you, Ali,
and your sister. I think I'm going to take my younger sister to BeB too...
Dancing it up with you throughout the night was truly awesome. LMFAO at
the autograph you got from Armin--so glad you took my advice! LOL!!!!
You kinda reminded me of Nada (iLLnaDa on TA), who I absolutely love to
death. Right down to the detail that your fiances' names are ALI!!!!
LOL!!! Message to Ali (Selma's Ali): dude, you better have those Red Bulls
ready for her ON TIME!!!! Lol

Sylvie, LMFAO you recognized me in the men's room as I was adjusting my
towel in front of the mirror . What an effing coincidence that you
used the same exact sink at the same time, and you're like, "I know you
from TA". That was hilarious and cool. Bathroom convos ftw lol. And then
you say you promised Peter (Coxx) that you'd meet him, right after I was
just with the whole group of them. The whole thing worked out perfectly.

Markesss, brief moment but always good to see you! Dan, nice to have
finally met you as well. Also randomly caught Erika (sp?) a couple of
times. I was in the house room for a while to check it out but didn't see
you anywhere. Monika, pleasure to finally have met you! Man, had I known
what you had just gone through, I would have bought you a drink or
something...so sorry to hear all that shit about waiting in line for
several hours!

LMAO at Zeidoo!!!! Dude, you are so hilarious!!! You just jumped right up
on the side of the stage and we had a whole conversation!!! Really cool to
have met you and around the time you wanted to take a picture from Malek,
Preach dropped "Broken Inside" which has been an anthem for me since I
first heard it--really sorry I was in another zone. We'll get a proper
picture taken next time! You should come to Toronto for AVB on Apr. 21!!!
I was shocked at how many ppl just approached me and said they
recognized me from TA. What a rush that is, everytime! Thanks, Swamper

Bertuzz, you theez, always a pleasure to meet you. LMAO at shouting "GO
LEAFS GO!!!" at A&B!!! LOL!!!! Oreo the Cookie, finally got to meet you.
Legendary Waz, so sorry to hear about the car issues on the way. Nice that
you finally made it. There was something missing ? COURTNEY!!! Where the
hell were you?!?! I was so looking forward to meeting you!

I will be adding more shout outs as I remember more people from their
reviews...sorry if I missed you this round! I also met this non-TA, a
HUGE guy I was standing next to on the VIP stage named Steven. He was with
his girl, Janice, and they were visiting from Toronto. He's a crazy AVB
fan that has flown all over the world to hear him. I'm planning on
catching up with him on Apr. 21 at front and right. lol plan is totally
organized.

The music was so awesome I almost wanted to rank it higher than the TAs but
without TAs its technically not a party for me. So on to music...

MUSIC

The actual set times in the trance room were as follows:

Sander Van Doorn - 12 am - 3 am
Second Sun - 3 am - 4 am
Armin Van Buuren - 4 am - 8 am
Above and Beyond - 8 am - 10 am
Preach - 10 am - 12 pm

Sander - WOW. Just, WOW. First time seeing him perform live. I've only
heard one set of his, which is now one of my essential CDs for the car. I
was impressed with all the energy from him. I was speaking to Nada and we
both agreed that he's like a miniature version of Armin! lol same feet
movements and clapping and stuff. Always smiling and looked like he was
having a great time. His set was beginning to sound very trancey with
tracks like Megashira and then all of a sudden he dropped Smack My Bitch
and a crazy remix of Are You Fine. I suck at IDing so I can't remember his
other tracks atm.

Second Sun - lots of energy as usual, but I'm not into the whole EDM
rockstar thing so I left during their set to check out the house room. I
think this was my 3rd time seeing them.

Armin - This guy stole the show. His recent ASOTs have been keeping me up
at night so I was really excited to hear him for my 4th time (although I
normally thought I'd be tired by now). His energy was SOOOOOOOOOO awesome.
I?ve never seen him smile or jump as much, it felt like it was his first
time playing!!!! He was totally into the crowd and everyone in the packed
house was feeding off his quality track selection and probably more so his
energy. I think hundreds more people came in to hear his set because it
was a lot tighter. When he would go around the stage to shake people's
hands, I felt like some of the girls in the front row were going to be
crushed because everyone was clamouring to touch him!!! He's good,
but not worth it to hurt yourself to touch him! LOL! He played some real
classics...I can't remember their names right now but they will come to me.
All I can remember right now is Megashira. I also remember his creepy
manager hovering around the stage flashing dirty smiles at the gorgeous
girls.

A&B - After Armin physically ruined the crowd, it seems like most of the
energy was drained when A&B came on. When they started with Air for Life,
people went nuts. Honestly, people danced so hard for so long, it seems
the police aren't even scratching the surface in the ecstasy trade with
their blockbuster raids lol. j/k, I'm sure a lot of people go sober
Right, RJ? I did feel at times in the beginning of A&B's set that they
were really going high on the crowd interaction for the lack of clapping
and jumping and hands in the air from the audience (at least from my
viewpoint on the stage)---there was SOOO much of that going on during AVB's
set that I'm sure people were very tired by 8 am. But the two of them kept
coming up to the crowd and trying to raise the energy level. Little did
they know all they had to do was drop No One On Earth to electrocute the
crowd. That track got me going like the crazy Paki I am and I was totally
thinking of Lisa and Nikki, and our first time hearing A&B drop it at
Guv!!!! *heart* My fave track these days is Dangerous Power and by
playing it, I was officially in disbelief about how awesome the night was.
They also played Megashira. I'm sure I'll remember more as I read other
posts.

Preach - lol I remember thinking how silly it was that after 11 hours of
dancing, Preach is going to come on with his dirty basslines and just crack
some spines. That's exactly what happened. I broke my vertebrae in 3
places and have been writing the rest of this review in a hospital room.
lol Before I comment on his performance, I'd like to say omfg I realize
why Jenn thinks so highly of him. He is such a stellar individual.
Extremely friendly and generous in spending his time with the fans who love
him. It was Kelly's bday yesterday and she told me that she had previously
been in touch with Preach who was looking forward to seeing her out from
NYC. I went to the DJ area and saw him come downstairs just to talk to
this fan in a wheelchair, and while I waited I saw how genuinely Preach was
talking and joking with him. It was really rewarding to see that type of
plur coming from such a huge success. Then, to top it off, he came all the
way out on the main dance floor to meet Kelly and wish her a happy
birthday, and the two chatted for about 15 minutes, right before he was
about to go on. When he hit us with "Broken Inside" all hell
broke loose. People went absolutely nuts (present company included). It
was seriously becoming difficult to dance at that point but I couldn't back
down...had to represent T.O.!!! lol He played a remix of Smack My Bitch as
well. Can't remember much else except that when I cheered "one more track"
with everyone I was really wishing he wouldn't lol I have never stayed
at a location so close to the venue (hotel was on the opposite street
corner of the club?AWESOME find, Kels!) but I mainly blame Preach for
making me dance so hard at the end that even the short walk home was the
most painful experience all night. LMAO at all the professional people
looking at us like we were complete sketchbags! I mean, I can understand
them thinking that about Kelly, but why me?! LOL!!! O SNAP!!

House room -
omfgwtfshirtlessjuicemonkeyswithleatherchapskissingandfondlingeachotherbbq!!!
Luckily the VIP stage was relatively spacious so got to dance it up
properly. HUGE, packed crowd; seemed the room was smaller than the trance
room. Have no idea who was playing between 3-4 am but it wasn't anything
truly inspiring for me. Nothing like Lawler or C+C omfg still
buzzing about them. Malek saw me at 4 and told me that AVB was onstage so
I got the fuck outta dodge! lol

VENUE

VIP - So many people said that it's not really worth it but that is SO NOT
TRUE!!!! If you can keep track of the availability dates and buy it for
$25, it's a friggin STEAL!!! I paid $50 for mine. The convenience factor
was soooooo awesome, that I will never attend another event without VIP
access. To be honest, it wasn't really necessary for the Together As One
at the Docks because the floor was laid out really well and there was
plenty of room to dance with ample bathrooms everywhere, but that was a
challenge at BeB due to sheer numbers so it is almost necessary to buy the
VIP if you want to save yourself the extra line-up times (especially with
the amount of water I was drinking). VIP also had its own 2 water
fountains so it was extremely convenient to go there, just a few seconds
away from the stage to refill everyone's bottles.

Food - lol Lindsay you're the best gym buddy ever!!!! She texted me before
BeB to ensure that I snack as part of my diet routine, so as not to mess up
my metabolism by not eating for 12 hours. Every 3-4 hours, I had
something, and it was FRIGGIN INCREDIBLE that there was a full service
cafeteria right in the club...with sandwiches, cookies, fruit, any drink,
chips, brownies, granola, cereal, milk...damn that place had everything
that I could possibly want!!!! lol (Don't worry, Lindsay--no refined
sugar, nothing oily and zero carbs! )

Lighting - although the theme of "Super Heroes" wasn't THAT brilliantly
laid out in the decor (you had images of Spiderman, Catwoman, etc. here and
there), the best part for me was the MASSIVE Superman "S" pentagon right
behind the DJ (maybe 40 feet high) and the letters, "SH" for Super Heroes
in the centre. They lit up with such brilliant colours and with the other
lights flashing around it made for some surreal moments when I was front
and centre. Especially during Preach's set during the late morning, when
they would glow red and seeing Preach's silhouette at that point with a
sexy Monika () dancing nearby on stage, it was a perfect cap to the
night!

Organization - aside from that fiasco I've been reading about re: the late
entries, the organization was superb. I felt like I was entering a U.S.
airport travelling from Saudi Arabia after not shaving for 2 weeks lol.
Security was up the yin-yang, only stopping short of a full cavity search!
LOL! Shoes off, feeling your socks and shit, and with all the extra towels
and t-shirts I was packing, I got the 3rd degree. But it was good to see
all the security and staff moving people a long as quickly as possible.
Security never made any exceptions for anyone when going to any of the VIP
locations and every area was staffed right till the bitter end. The only
scary moment was when there was this rush of activity and a girl who looked
completely unconscious was being rushed out on a stretcher with like 15
security and paramedic staff running around her. Hope that girl is okay.

The sound got a 6 out of 10 from me only because of where I was standing;
when I passed the massive speakers I heard the awesome quality but even
then it seemed some of the speakers were rattling with the bass turned up
so high. The room is bigger than any venue I've seen (think main room at
the Toronto Convention Centre) so I guess that's necessary. Also, at the
front, we were too dependent on the speakers on each side of the DJ and he
would turn them down each time someone behind him wanted to speak with him.
There were numerous buzz kills when ur just about to get ready for the drop
after an awesome build-up and then suddenly the sound goes and you have to
rely on the sound being echoed from the opposite side of the huge room.
That happened every 15-20 min all night except when Second Sun came on cuz
of their style.

Oh, and the sketched out Asians were in full force. Nice to see we're not
the only ones with that problem in Toronto. LOL

amazing...simply amazing

now that i'm less cranky and have had some sleep time all i can say is "wow." i don't know if i could say much more than kelly did but from sander until preach the DJs in the tech / trance room owned the crowd...i was absolutely EXHAUSTED and could have easily slept at 4am but they threw such sick sets i was compelled to keep moving and let me tell you dancing for ~11hours without even the help of caffeine was hard as sh*t. no idea how we did it but kelly and i probably had the best spots in the entire room; great view of the stage and only had people pushing from behind us but that is to be expected...anyhow unfortunately had to leave at 11:20 during preach's set so i wouldn't miss my flight back. he was much better than kelly described him and i was so unhappy i had to leave. my body hurt and i was tired as shit but went absolutely crazy when he threw down smack my bitch up. such a great weekend!!!

love BeB but friday with markus and gabriel batz was nasty and if i were to rank sets i would say markus played the set of the weekend with above & beyond right behind them...paavo is my new favorite person cause he's so awesome.
