Tyas/Patterson/Tommy @ Studio <<review>>

I just got back, being that I have work in 6 hours.... All I gotta say is.... THAT is trance music, my friends.... a huge kudos to Michael for really nailing the lineup on this one, the music could not have been any better.... I think the story of the night was Simon Patterson, he played an absolutely incredible set, it was unbelievable.... More review tomorrow, I'm off to bed... And sorry if I smelled funny, I had a long day at work with the a/c off, so I was sweating all day, so by the time I reached Studio (and changed my clothes), I was like "oh boyy... eek"... hahaha idk, I could smell myself, so I know that's totally not a good sign... Anyway, fun times seeing everyone!!!!

Excellent night - both rooms deserve big ups, but does 4.30 in the morning seem like an early end??

Holy fucking shit hahaha that was fucking STELLAR hahaha! Sean you fucking rock dude, what a banging set!

I would have loved to see Simon, but I got there late. Lol I think tonight showed me where my priorities really are haha... check it...

...so somewhere around 10:30 I'm getting showered and stuff, and a girl friend of mine calls me up really wanting to hang out. So long story short I'm out drinking with her and a few damn good looking friends of hers. Any normal person would have been crazy to leave, but 2:00 am rolled around and I said I had to leave. They kinda looked at me like I was out of my mind... "Why the hell do you have to leave" and the crazy Trance Addict that I am says...."SEAN TYAS IS SPINNING IN A HALF HOUR..., THATS WHY!!" MWUAHAHAHA!!!

I flew down Route 3 to the city... they got me dirty at the door, but it was the best 40 bucks I've spent in a long time. (lol I did find a parking space on the street right outside the garage I was about to park in haha)

Fuckin great to see everyone whilin' out tonight, such a great vibe in that place. I checked out the main room for a few, that psy/goa trance was great too.

Sean, that shit rocked so hard tonight! Crazy ass energy! Keep it up dude, see you next time!

1) Eco, you didn't smell.
2) Dogzilla/Simon was superb, sublime.
3) Rob, change your pic, you're much lovelier in person.
4) Sean was fan god damn tas tic. Diary of jane thunderstruck lift you got me?
5) Uncle Ed you missed the boat baby. You had about 7 girls (at the age i'm guessing you'd be keen on) wanting to do after hours, and you bailed. This is Molly with the accent, we will punish you at a later date.

6) (and most important) --- That was the MOST fun i've had a Crobar ever ever ever. The side room was soooo much better than the main room, and it was a bloody family reunion to boot. Saw 97 people i know, and a bunch i hadn't previously met.

Crobar closing at 4am was complete and unadulterated hooey mierda merde schieze dritt crap.

Sean, come back. We like you.

Patterson was incredible. I have no idea what else to say. Tyas was great too but I give the advantage to Simon. The only thing that sucked was the time it ended. Fucking 4:22? That's stupid. I needed this night to get over the loss of my wallet (I feel naked without it). It was great partying with all of the NYTA's. I met so many people tonight I can't even begin to remember! Fucking a! I left kinda quickly so I didn't get a chance to say bye to everyone. I was trying to catch a non-existant train. My 4:39am train ended up being a 5:29am train. I hate not having a schedule in my wallet. Carl, it was good seeing you out again, def have to do this more often. Kay, you still rock. Your ex (I'm not gonna even mention his name) lost an awesome chick when he did that shit. I took a bunch of pictures of you for some reason. All in all, a great fucking night. Thanks guys!

The reason why the lights came on early is due to the fact that John Emanuel was told that there would be no fire involved since they mention in there flyer a Flaming Guitar. @ Around 430 they break out the guitar and trying to light it, now while this is trying to happen the Light guy looks down to see him trying to light it. He went on the radio told to turn the lights on and to shut the sound off in the mainroom. So do not blame studio for this because John Emanuel was told many times over and he did not abid by the rules. So if you want to blame the party ending early, blame the Tsunami promotor.

OMG! I am still awake This was a great party despite some problems in the beginning with entry etc. Everyone threw down a killer set. I have over 100 pics to upload...I am working on it now. I am loosing my voice from all the screaming, but we danced all nite and have a wonderful time. We stayed until they kicked us out..wish it would have been longer.

Tough to sleep after a night like that. What can I say, packed house, ridiculous music, and an overall vibe only you guys and the djs know how to create. Thank you all for coming out to support, nights like these are nothing without ur loyal patronage.

Now as for the djs... Jesus christ bananas!!! Simon patterson was flat out insane, the transitions... The programming... I mean wow! Without any bias one of my favorites sets this year.

Sean is sean... Fucking driving uplifting trance, his remix of vincent de moor fly away was my favorite track he played. Amazing.

I'm only sorry u guys didn't get to hear more of tom colontonio he is truly a gifted dj and producer though will get an opportunity to hear him again soon.

Again thanx for a wonderful and memorable night glad to see so many friendly and familiar faces!

Sounds like you pulled it off Brother...I'm sorry I couldn't have been there...First decent review I've seen of a party at that place for a long time...I gotta hand it to you Bro,,you certainly know how to bring in the talent and the best thing about it is,, "these people are your friends"....

Nice work Michael..I'm back in NYC soon m8 and look forward to catching up with you...It' s nice to see a genuinely nice guy become such a success in a scene that is predominantly full of douche bags....

Congrats Sir...See you soon..........

Ps...Got a text message from Vtec at 3am saying Sean dropped "THUNDER".....I'm interested to know what the crowds reaction was like....

Quite the opposite, he was amazed with New York and the spirit of New Yorkers and says he wants to come back ASAP! He had a ball of a time, no worries!
