Hmmm, this track is a hard one to pin down.

It has trancey elements but the main hook definately has something 80s synth pop about it (This isn't a bad thing).

I would say if you are passing this off as a trance track or something that would be a smash on the dance floor then it's not doing the job but as an intersting track with a nice hook it certainly does that.

Bottom end is perhaps a little muddy for my liking and you may want to tame those frequencies.

I would say to make this a really good track you still need to place a bit more into it. But that's just my taste.

Good job though

Cheers
Nem

Hi there!

I can see where Nem is getting his "80's synth pop" ideas from. That lead pattern (of 16ths with two-high two-low per bar) always reminds me of 80s music. I liked it though, and this was my favourite part of the song! I didn't like the main melody that starts from the break at 2:40 though. Most of the notes are on the beat, so it's a bit "stompy" for my liking, whereas the other melody flows better.

The bass made the people in the flat upstairs bang on their floor. I dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Take from that what you will.

Thanks for sharing anyway, and keep it up!

-Joe

Nice kick, I am not a big fan of the reverb used in the clap, it needs a bit more of tweaking, sounds to open and crispy, i would try to close it a bit more (The sound).
The hats should have a bit less of velocitie, they are too prominent in the tune, the hats should be more into the background.
The fat synth is very flat, you need to tweak it up more, sounds very very muddy. The synth right after, is not bad, but I feel a lack of drive.
Again we get the fat synth, but it feels very tiny, should be banging strong here, what makes to feel more the lack of drive.
In overall, not bad, but this song needs a better drum programing, to tweak up the synths more, better mixdown, and to add more drums and above all, drum fills for each section, it feels very plane and a bit boring, lacking of drive, the tune feels the same overall, this track would benefit of some layered vocals too.
Keep it up bidor, not bad at all, it justneeds more work .

Kopi =o.

Kopi, im gonna rework this tune with all the comments in mind. though if i make the main lead a bit thicker it might sound to cheesy,

anyway lets see how its gonna turn out!

I totally agree. It feels empty and boring.. really lacking of drive

Tweak up the synths, add some drums, loops, arpeggios etc..
Use delay and reverb and try to get sound fattier.

Wow, thats a strong kick and bassline.
I feel as if there's missing something, like some kind of dirty/techy percs and an offbeat hihat.
Over all it's a cool track, although not really my style.
Keep working on it.

good work on your low end. the bass and kick does work well together. the lead part is maybe a little too upfront in the mix but thats just my opinion, thats all personal preference.. i like it
