Hi, I am going to Germany and I have a few questions for you ACTUANG!

Ok, I am planning on going to Germany July 4 and will stay there for two weeks. I was wondering on how can much money does a traiin ticket cost. You know the all train ticket pass where I can use to travel all around Germany? And I was wondering if this ticket could be used in other EU nations like Austria, Switzerland and Czech rep?
I am also wondering how much money does it cost for a cheap hotel but decent? And how many tourists are we talking about that will be travelling all around Germany during July? Also, was wondering if it is possible to sleep outdoors because I am too cheap to book a hotel or if all the hotels are already booked?

In question format:
1) How much money does an all train ticket cost?

2) How much for a decent hotel?

3) Is there going to be many tourists in Germany during July?

4) What is the average day going to cost for buying food for a day at the grocery?

5)can I sleep over at any of your homes?

In question format:
1) How much money does an all train ticket cost?

--> This is what you`re searching for: http://www.bahn.de/p/view/internati...ckpackers.shtml

2) How much for a decent hotel?

Tight budget? No problem - Youth Hostels in Germany are cheap & clean + usually in cool locations (like directly inside the castle in Nuernberg):

3) Is there going to be many tourists in Germany during July?

No, not more than usually during the summer - remember: 4th of July is a USA holiday, not a European one

4) What is the average day going to cost for buying food for a day at the grocery?

Depending on your budget plan from 15 Euro a day to 25 Euro for food / drinks.

Hope this helps...

A question about staying in hostels. Do I have to bring a towel to take a shower or how exactly do you take a shower in one?

In my experience, you don't need to bring a towel. However, most places will charge a one-time fee of a euro or two to use one. Some will provide a towel for free. Only the worst won't have any towels at all.

Sure, but it always depends on where you are. If you are near a lake or else chances are very high that there'll be at least one camping place you can stay.

As for hostels: Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden and Munich also have the A&O Hostels, which are usually near the city centre (the one in munich is directly at the main station), check here: http://www.aohostels.com/en/
