Accuracy of Mixmeister BPM Analyzer?

so i downlaoded mixmeister's free BPM analyzer from here and used a calculator and figured out what percentage i would need to adjust my CDJ 800 pitch sliders to in order to change the tempo and match the tracks, to my surprise it worked quite well, it needed a little nudge of the jog ring every 10-12 seconds or so, but if i had the 0.02 pitch increments i think that would have been reduced.

anyways, i was experimenting with it to test its accuracy myself and just wanted to ask, did anyone else who has tried this software experience the same results or same accuracy?

how accurate is it really?

I thought, "Oh right, if I categorically eliminate all other people, it's just me and her. She'd like that.
"Especially you" I said.
"You are virtually the ring leader, the way I see it."
Then, I blew out the candle.

It's pretty accurate.

I've occasionally used it to edit track BPM's and it's seemed sufficiently accurate to me.

I guess it's the same
if not, he can get the fully-functional trial version, which will insert a demo message into completed mixes every few minutes (buying the full version will remove these messages). That's it, if you are nto using it for mixing or recording, it will do everything you need form the software.

Nice one, I was just curious.

I only Mixmeister to get the key of my tracks.

Don't. It's wrong about 60% of the time.

Keying by hand is the best route, but if you're going to use software, Rapid Evolution is FAR more accurate (and also checks a database of keys online), and it's free.

MixMeister is really, really shit at detecting keys.

Don't say that now... I've labelled up about 60 tracks with the key codes

I did try Rapid first, but I didn't quite understand how it worked - it wasn't very clear as to what to do.

What about Mixed in Key - that any good?

I think RE is the most accurate of them all, especially because it checks a database that is corrected by people.

You just drag your tracks into the main window, right click, choose "Detect" and "Key"

Not that hard to re-key!

thanks for the responses guys !

at first i was thinking "why is it giving me such even numbers?" i would get results like 126.00, 125.00, 125.99 and so on...but then i thought, when a producer is making a track, dont the usually set the BPM at an even number anyways? why on earth would anyone find it necessary to begin making a track at 124.8972 BPM :P ? when i realized that then it all fell into place and i started to trust ts accuracy.
