Question regarding Firefox

Is it normal for Firefox to have memory usage of approximately 100 MB?

If you're running a plugin that runs in the background analysing space galaxy images from NASA in order to find aliens, yeah.

100 MB seems a bit excessive. Depending on plugins, it should be around about the 60 MB mark.

It's alright now, currently @ 57 MB with 3 tabs open. After restarting it completely it goes to ~30 MB. Really have no idea why it went over 100 MB about 2 hours ago, though...

I love Firefox, could never go back to IE, but does anyone else get that annoying glitch where windows just disappear from the taskbar, desktop and everywhere, then re-appear at a random time, maybe five minutes or five hours afterwards?

It's doing my head in, especially when I've been looking at "sensitive" information at work, which always reappears just as my manager walks past.
