Okay, again even this subtopic you've chosen can explode into a monster summary of events, but try to keep it simple and quick, especially in a 5 minute crunch.
I hate to throw two giant volumes of work at you, but these two reports are probably the best place to start:
1. The 9/11 Commission Report:
http://www.9-11commission.gov/
-which can be used as either a book, website, OR "whatever" citation (I'd probably go with the book citation considering that's probably the hardest to get through).
2. The Duelfer Report on Iraq WMD:
http://www.lib.umich.edu/govdocs/duelfer.html
These two reports give the most comprehensive review of Iraqs WMD stockpiles, proliferation (or lackthereof), and overall threat as well as how we handled (and mishandled) those threats in the 1990's and past our invasion. The importance is this was our primary rationale for invasion by this Administration, the secondary rationale being al Qaeda connections (which both reports addresses i.e. "no operational ties").
Another site of interest is Wikipedia, which you MUST at all costs examine with a grain of salt and verify all sources yourself since it's not a definitive (and often purely opinionated) source. Quick google came up with this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_Resolution
Here's another:
http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.ph...olution_of_2002
Sorry so brief. Gotta run for the night. I'd also consider using the "search" function in these forums for the topic as well. Again my apologies for this. Sounds like you're on a pretty tight deadline. Best of luck.
