Domestic terrorism in the US isn't exactly something I'd dismiss out of hand (recent incidents like Oklahoma, Olympic park bombings, the Waco siege) and there's a fair number of Christian radicals, cults, militias and hate groups running around there which are anti-social/anti-government and quite powerful in terms of financial backing. Also been a few of them which have decided to do some fairly nasty things to abortion surgery's and the staff there, they don't seem to be overly concerned with operating outside the US independently though.
